Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is the main airport for Edmonton and northern Alberta, Canada. It lies south of the city in Leduc County, next to the town of Leduc, about 30 minutes' drive from downtown Edmonton in normal traffic.
Twelve airlines fly from YEG. Air Canada, WestJet, Flair Airlines and Porter Airlines connect it with cities across Canada; Air Canada, United and Alaska Airlines fly to the United States; and KLM and Condor fly to Europe, alongside seasonal holiday flights to Mexico and the Caribbean.
The airport has one terminal on two levels: arrivals on Level 1 and departures on Level 2. US preclearance means passengers bound for the United States clear US immigration and customs in Edmonton before boarding.
From the airport, most travelers head into downtown Edmonton, to West Edmonton Mall, to the University of Alberta, to Sherwood Park and St. Albert, or west towards Jasper National Park.

Arrival tips for Edmonton International Airport
If you arrive from outside Canada, you clear Canadian border services first, using the primary inspection kiosks or Advance Declaration in the ArriveCAN app, then a border officer. Visitors from visa-exempt countries need an approved eTA before flying to Canada.
All flights arrive at the single terminal. Collect your bags on Level 1, where the arrivals hall, car rental counters and ground transportation exits are.

Edmonton Transit's Route 747 express bus runs from the terminal to Century Park, where it connects with the LRT. Edmonton is on Mountain Time, and winters are long and very cold, so keep a warm coat in your carry-on.
