About Jackson Hole Airport

Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) is the airport for Jackson, Wyoming, and the Jackson Hole valley in the United States. It stands inside Grand Teton National Park, the only US commercial airport within a national park, about 9 miles (15 km) north of the town of Jackson, a drive of roughly 20 minutes.

United, American, Delta and Alaska Airlines fly here. Year-round flights link Jackson Hole with Denver, Dallas/Fort Worth and Salt Lake City, and seasonal nonstops in winter and summer add cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Atlanta, Houston, Newark and New York JFK. All flights are domestic.

The airport has one L-shaped terminal with a ticketing lobby at the north end, baggage claim at the south end and a single boarding area. There are no jet bridges, so passengers board and leave the aircraft on the ramp.

From the airport, most travelers head south to the town of Jackson, to Teton Village and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, about 20 miles (32 km) away, or to Wilson at the foot of Teton Pass. Others stay at lodges inside Grand Teton National Park or continue north toward Yellowstone.

Arrival tips for Jackson Hole Airport

All flights to Jackson Hole are domestic, so there is no immigration or customs here. If you are flying in from abroad, you clear US immigration and customs at your first airport in the United States before connecting.

There are no jet bridges, so you leave the aircraft by stairs or ramp and walk across to the terminal; in winter, dress for cold and snow on that short walk. Follow the signs to baggage claim at the south end of the terminal, where three carousels deliver bags. The Information Desk is in the baggage claim area, and in summer you can rent bear spray at the kiosk by carousel 3.

Car rental counters for Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National are in the terminal, and rental shuttles for Dollar and Thrifty leave from the center island. Uber and Lyft pick up on the north island in front of the ticketing lobby, under the Ride App Pickup sign. Taxis and pre-booked drivers meet passengers at baggage claim and load at the curb outside.

Jackson Hole is on Mountain Time.
