Airport Transportation in Aruba
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Queen Beatrix International Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
Our airport transportation in Aruba takes you from Queen Beatrix International to the high-rise hotels of Palm Beach, the low-rise resorts of Eagle Beach, downtown Oranjestad and its cruise terminal, the villas of Noord and the quieter south coast at Savaneta.
Aruba Airport Transfers
Aruba airport transfers start outside arrivals: after immigration, baggage claim and customs, you walk out of the terminal to the arrivals area, where your driver waits with a name sign. We track your flight, so the pickup follows your real landing time, and you choose the vehicle for your party, from a sedan for two to a van for a family or group with luggage.
Each Aruba airport transfer goes door to door to your resort or timeshare on Palm Beach or Eagle Beach, your hotel in downtown Oranjestad, your rental villa in Noord or a guesthouse at Savaneta on the south coast.
Aruba Airport Shuttle
Our Aruba airport shuttle is a private van for your party only, not a shared shuttle that stops at a row of resorts first. It leaves as soon as you are through arrivals, with room for suitcases, beach gear and kitesurf or dive bags, and suits families, wedding and honeymoon groups, and friends sharing a villa.
Landing at Aruba Airport
Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) sits on the southwest coast at the edge of Oranjestad, Aruba's capital, and has a single runway. Arriving passengers clear immigration and customs, collect their bags (free luggage carts are available) and walk straight out to the transportation area in front of the terminal. Lines move quickly most days but can build when several flights land together, which often happens on weekends. Aruba runs on Atlantic Standard Time (UTC−4) all year, with no daylight saving.
Keep the ED card QR code ready
Airlines check the QR code of your approved ED card before boarding, and border control scans it when you land, so have it on your phone or printed. Use only the official portal: look-alike sites that charge extra are not official.
Fee by card only
The sustainability fee on the same portal is paid by Visa, Mastercard or Discover; cash is not accepted.
Before you fly to Aruba
How Aruba Airport pickup works
- 1
Clear arrivals
Immigration, baggage claim, then customs. Representatives can't enter those areas.
- 2
Meet your representative
At the meeting point in your confirmation. Check the company name before getting in.
- 3
Go straight there
No other stops, no other passengers.
Meet outside arrivals
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, walk out of the terminal to the arrivals area, where drivers wait with name signs. Representatives cannot enter the baggage hall or customs.
Don't accept a ride from someone claiming to know your booking. Check the company name and reservation details before getting in.
Return trips and flight changes
Going back to the airport
Transportation can also be booked from your hotel, resort or vacation rental to Queen Beatrix International Airport. Your pickup time covers the drive plus check-in, security and border procedures, and your airline's instructions come first. Give the correct departure time and terminal when you book.
If your flight changes
We monitor the arrival of the flight on your reservation, but can't find you on a different one. If any of these change, update them in Manage your booking:

Where will my driver meet me at Aruba Airport?
Outside the terminal in the arrivals area, holding a sign with your name, after immigration, baggage claim and customs. Representatives cannot enter the baggage hall or customs.
How far is Aruba Airport from Palm Beach and Eagle Beach?
Downtown Oranjestad is about 5 to 6 km from the airport, around 10 minutes by car; Eagle Beach is about 7 to 8 km, roughly 15 minutes; and Palm Beach is about 10 to 11 km, around 20 minutes, with traffic through town the main variable.
Can you take me to my resort on Palm Beach?
Yes. We drive door to door to the high-rise hotels and resorts along Palm Beach. Give the resort name when you book.
Can you take me to Eagle Beach?
Yes. We drive to the low-rise resorts and timeshares along Eagle Beach, between Oranjestad and Palm Beach.
Can you take me to the cruise terminal in Oranjestad?
Yes. The cruise terminal is in downtown Oranjestad, close to the airport. Give the ship name and boarding time when you book.
Do you drive to villas in Noord and Savaneta?
Yes. Give the full address and any gate or key-box instructions, since many villas in Noord and along the south coast at Savaneta are on smaller roads.
Do I need an ED card to enter Aruba?
Yes. Every traveler, children and infants included, needs an approved ED card from the official free portal edcardaruba.aw, completed no more than 7 days before arrival. Most visitors aged 8 and older also pay a USD 20 sustainability fee there by card.
Is there Uber in Aruba?
No. Uber and other ride-hailing apps do not operate in Aruba, so arrange your ride before you land. A pre-booked transfer means your driver is already waiting when you come out.
How do taxis work at Aruba Airport?
Aruba's taxis have no meters. Fares are fixed by zone and quoted before you get in, with surcharges at night, on Sundays and on public holidays, and not every driver takes cards. A pre-booked transfer is paid in advance.
Is there US preclearance at Aruba Airport?
Yes. On flights to the United States you clear US immigration and customs in Aruba before boarding, at the US Check-In Terminal, so allow extra time for it when you set your return pickup.
Should I buy transportation from people offering rides inside Aruba Airport?
There is no need. Booking ahead gives you a confirmed vehicle and a meeting point before you land. If someone approaches you in arrivals, check the company name against your confirmation before getting in.
What happens if my flight to Aruba is delayed?
We monitor the flight on your reservation, so your driver at Aruba Airport waits for the actual landing. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is canceled, update it in Manage your booking so the pickup can be moved.
Can I book a ride back to Aruba Airport?
Yes. Book a one-way departure or a round trip from your resort, hotel or villa. Give your flight number and departure time and whether you are flying to the United States so the pickup is set for check-in and security.
Is Airport Transportation the same as Queen Beatrix International Airport?

Do drivers speak English?
Yes. While their English may not be native-level, drivers have the skills to communicate with passengers.
