Airport Transportation in Bolzano
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Bolzano Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
Airport transportation in Bolzano takes you from the SkyAlps flights at Bolzano Airport to hotels in the city, to Merano and up into the Dolomites ski areas of Val Gardena, the Alpe di Siusi and Alta Badia.
Bolzano Airport Transfers
Our Bolzano airport transfers start in the arrivals area of the airport's single terminal, where your driver meets you after baggage claim and walks with you to the car outside. We track your flight, so the pickup follows your real landing time, and unlike waiting for a taxi to be called out to the terminal, your ride is arranged before you land.
Enter your hotel or address in the booking form to see the vehicles available for your route, priced per vehicle before you pay. Each Bolzano airport transfer goes door to door, whether you are staying in the old town of Bolzano, a spa hotel in Merano or a ski hotel in Ortisei, Selva or Corvara.
Bolzano Airport Shuttle
Our Bolzano airport shuttle is a private minivan or minibus for your party only: it leaves when you are ready and goes straight to your hotel, with no stops at other hotels or villages. There is room for skis, boots bags and suitcases, so it suits families and ski groups arriving together on the same flight.
Landing at Bolzano Airport
Bolzano Airport (BZO) sits on the southern edge of Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol, and is the home base of SkyAlps. Passengers use one small terminal for arrivals and departures, so the walk from the aircraft to baggage claim is short.
Flights from other Schengen countries, such as Germany, Denmark or Poland, arrive without passport control. Flights from London Gatwick and other airports outside the Schengen area go through passport control first. Collect your bags in the baggage claim area, then walk through customs into the arrivals area, where signs are in Italian and German.
Bolzano is on Central European Time (UTC+1), and on summer time (UTC+2) from late March to late October.
Schengen entry
Italy is in the Schengen area. EU and Schengen citizens need a valid ID card or passport; other travelers need a passport and, depending on nationality, a visa.
Entry/Exit System
Travelers from outside the EU arriving on flights from outside the Schengen area, such as London, are registered in the EU's Entry/Exit System with fingerprints and a photo on their first crossing.
Two languages
South Tyrol is bilingual, so give your hotel's address in Italian or German: Bozen for Bolzano, Meran for Merano, Gröden for Val Gardena, St. Ulrich for Ortisei.

Where will my driver meet me at Bolzano Airport?
Your driver meets you in the arrivals area of the terminal, just after baggage claim and customs, and walks with you to the car outside. Bolzano Airport has one small terminal, so every flight comes out into the same area. The exact meeting point and your driver's contact details are in your confirmation.
How far is Bolzano Airport from Bolzano city center?
Bolzano Airport is about 6 km from the city center, on the southern edge of Bolzano, near the Bolzano Sud exit of the A22 Brenner motorway. According to the airport, a taxi between Bolzano train station and the terminal takes about 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Give us your hotel name or full address when you book.
Can you take me to a hotel in Bolzano?
Yes. We drive you door to door from Bolzano Airport to hotels, apartments and offices across Bolzano, including the old town, the area around Walther Square and the trade fair district. Enter the full address or hotel name in the booking form to see the vehicles available for your party and luggage.
Can you take me to Val Gardena or the Alpe di Siusi?
Yes, on request. Val Gardena lies about 40 km from Bolzano, around 35 minutes from the city by road, and covers Ortisei, Santa Cristina and Selva. For hotels in these villages or on the Alpe di Siusi, share the address when you book and we'll confirm the route and a vehicle with room for your skis.
Can you take me to Alta Badia or Merano?
Often, yes. Merano lies north-west of Bolzano in the Adige valley, while Alta Badia, with Corvara, La Villa and San Cassiano, is a longer trip deep into the Dolomites. These are longer routes, so share the address when you book and we'll confirm the trip and the vehicle before you fly.
Can you take me to Cortina, Innsbruck or other airports?
Long trips such as Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Kronplatz area, Innsbruck in Austria or another airport may be possible but depend on vehicle availability. Share the full address when you book and we'll confirm whether we can take you, and in which vehicle, before you travel. Cross-border trips need valid travel documents for every passenger.
Is there room for skis and snowboards?
Yes, when you tell us in advance. Add your skis, snowboards, boot bags and any other equipment to the booking, so we assign a vehicle with enough space for your party and luggage. Ski groups often book a minivan or minibus. Oversized equipment is confirmed separately on your reservation.
Can you pick me up from a late evening or early morning flight?
Yes. Your pickup is set for your flight's arrival time, early morning or late evening, and the driver follows the real landing time of the flight on your reservation. This matters at Bolzano Airport, where no taxis wait on standby at the terminal and car rental desks keep office hours.
What happens if my flight to Bolzano is delayed?
We track the arrival of the flight on your reservation, so your driver adjusts to a delay. If your flight number, date, airline or arrival airport changes, or your flight is canceled, update it in Manage your booking so we can move your pickup.
Can I book a ride back to Bolzano Airport?
Yes. Book a return from your hotel in Bolzano, Merano or the Dolomites and give us your flight time, so your pickup leaves enough time for the drive, check-in and security. In winter, allow extra time for snow on mountain roads. You can book it as a one-way trip or together with your arrival as a round trip.
Do I need to know the German or Italian name of my hotel's town?
It helps. South Tyrol is officially bilingual, so most places have two names: Bolzano is Bozen, Merano is Meran, Ortisei is St. Ulrich and Val Gardena is Gröden. Give us the hotel name and full address in either language when you book, and your driver will find it.
What time zone is Bolzano in?
Bolzano is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and moves to summer time (UTC+2) from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. Your pickup time is always the local time in Bolzano, so check the arrival time on your ticket and enter it as shown when you book.
Is Airport Transportation the same as Bolzano Airport?
No. Airport Transportation is a private transfer service that books rides from Bolzano Airport (BZO); we are not the airport, its operator or SkyAlps. For the terminal, flights, parking and other ways to get around, see our Bolzano Airport page.

Do children pay differently than adults?

Do drivers speak English?
Yes. While their English may not be native-level, drivers have the skills to communicate with passengers.
Are tips mandatory?
Tips are not mandatory but are highly recommended; drivers earn them through service quality.
What currencies are accepted?
All prices are in USD. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the charge at its own exchange rate.
Are pets allowed?
We can transport domestic pets kept in cages that fit in a normal vehicle.
Is there room for luggage?
Yes. There is plenty of room for one suitcase and one carry-on per person.
