Landing at Budapest Airport
Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport (BUD), formerly Ferihegy, is on the southeastern edge of Budapest and is the headquarters and main hub of Wizz Air. Passenger flights use Terminal 2, which has two buildings, 2A and 2B, joined by the SkyCourt hall: 2A gates serve Schengen flights and 2B gates serve non-Schengen flights.
From outside the Schengen Area you pass passport control before baggage claim; flights from Schengen countries arrive without passport checks. After your bags and customs, you walk out into the arrivals hall, which has an information desk, ATMs and currency exchange.
Budapest is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to summer time (UTC+2) from late March to late October.
Schengen entry
Hungary is in the Schengen Area. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Hungarian forint
Hungary uses the forint (HUF), not the euro. ATMs and exchange desks are in the arrivals hall.

Where will my driver meet me at Budapest Airport?
Your driver waits at the signposted meeting point near the exit of the arrivals hall in Terminal 2A or 2B, depending on the building your flight arrives at. The two buildings are joined by the SkyCourt hall, a short walk apart.
Will I arrive at Terminal 2A or 2B?
Terminal 2A gates serve flights within the Schengen Area and 2B gates serve non-Schengen flights. Give us your flight number when you book and we will tell your driver which arrivals hall to wait in.
How far is Budapest Airport from the city center?
The airport is about 16 km southeast of central Budapest. By road the trip to the center usually takes 25 to 35 minutes, longer at rush hour or after major events.
Is Liszt Ferenc Airport the same as Ferihegy?
Yes. Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport was formerly called Budapest Ferihegy International Airport. Travelers also call it Budapest Airport or BUD Airport.
Can you take me to a hotel in Buda or Pest?

Can you take me from Budapest Airport to Lake Balaton?

What happens if my flight to Budapest is delayed?

How do I find you at the airport?
Walk all the way out of the airport. You'll see representatives holding boards. Look for the Airport Transportation logo or your name.
What kind of vehicles do you use?
Commonly Toyota Hiace, Volkswagen Transporter, Mercedes Sprinter, Volkswagen Crafter, Chevrolet Tahoe, and Chevrolet Suburban.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We carry insurance with complete liability for all passengers while using our services.
Do you provide baby seats?
Baby seats are provided with prior notice, subject to availability, one seat maximum per vehicle.
How far in advance should I book?
You can book any time in advance; we suggest one week to one day ahead. Same-day reservations are available.
What payment methods are accepted?
You pay securely online when you book, by credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Do vehicles have air conditioning?
Yes. For your comfort all our units have air conditioning.
What if my flight is delayed?
During booking we ask for your airline and flight number so we can track delays and wait for you.
Can I make stops during my ride?
Yes, you can add an extra stop to your service during the booking process.
Do children pay differently than adults?
No. Prices are set per passenger range or per vehicle, not per age.
Is my reservation refundable?
Yes. Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your pick-up and you are refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before service are not refundable.
Do drivers speak English?
Yes. While their English may not be native-level, drivers have the skills to communicate with passengers.
Are tips mandatory?
Tips are not mandatory but are highly recommended; drivers earn them through service quality.
What currencies are accepted?
All prices are in USD. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the charge at its own exchange rate.
Are pets allowed?
We can transport domestic pets kept in cages that fit in a normal vehicle.
Is there room for luggage?
Yes. There is plenty of room for one suitcase and one carry-on per person.
