Airport Transportation in Calgary
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Calgary International Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
Our airport transportation in Calgary runs from YYC to hotels and homes across the city and downtown, and west into the Rockies to Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise and Kananaskis Country.
Calgary Airport Transfers
Calgary airport transfers start on the arrivals level, where your driver meets you after baggage claim, or after customs if you land on an international or US flight. Give us your flight number and we track it, so the pickup follows your real landing time, and the price for your vehicle is fixed before you fly.
Choose a sedan for a couple or a business trip, or an SUV or van for families and ski groups with gear. Each Calgary airport transfer goes door to door, whether to a downtown hotel, a Canmore condo or a lodge in Banff or Lake Louise, so your Calgary airport to Banff trip starts the moment you have your bags.
Calgary Airport Shuttle
Our Calgary airport shuttle is a private van for your party only, not a scheduled coach to Banff with set departure times and stops at other hotels. It leaves when you are through arrivals, with room for skis, snowboards and hiking gear, and suits families and groups heading into the mountains.
Landing at Calgary Airport
Calgary International Airport (YYC) is northeast of downtown Calgary, and the Calgary Airport Authority runs it. One connected building holds two terminals: the Domestic Terminal, with concourses A, B and C, and the International Terminal, with Concourse D for international flights and Concourse E for flights to the United States.
If you arrive from outside Canada, you clear Canadian border services in the International Terminal, using Advance Declaration in the ArriveCAN app or the border kiosks, then a border officer. After baggage claim, international and US arrivals exit through customs into the International Terminal arrivals area; domestic arrivals go straight from baggage claim to arrivals in the Domestic Terminal. Pre-booked drivers meet passengers on the arrivals level.
Calgary, Banff and Lake Louise are on Mountain Time and change their clocks for daylight saving. Canada uses the Canadian dollar.
eTA or visa
Most visitors from visa-exempt countries need an approved Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before flying to Canada; US citizens do not. Travelers from other countries may need a visa, so check the Government of Canada's requirements for your passport.
Parks Canada pass
Everyone stopping in Banff National Park, including the towns of Banff and Lake Louise, needs a Parks Canada pass, also when arriving by private transfer. Buy a daily pass or a Discovery Pass online before you travel. Canmore is outside the park and needs no pass.
Moraine Lake Road
Moraine Lake Road is closed to personal vehicles; visitors reach the lake on the Parks Canada shuttle, Roam Transit or commercial tours.
US preclearance on the way home
Flights to the United States clear US immigration and customs at YYC before boarding, so allow for it when you book your ride back to the airport.
Before you fly to Calgary
How Calgary Airport pickup works
- 1
Clear arrivals
Immigration, baggage claim, then customs. Representatives can't enter those areas.
- 2
Meet your representative
At the meeting point in your confirmation. Check the company name before getting in.
- 3
Go straight there
No other stops, no other passengers.
Meet in arrivals
Pre-booked drivers meet passengers on the arrivals level after baggage claim, or after customs for international and US flights.
Domestic or international arrival
Domestic flights arrive in the Domestic Terminal and international and US flights in the International Terminal, so tell your driver which kind of flight you are on.
Don't accept a ride from someone claiming to know your booking. Check the company name and reservation details before getting in.
Return trips and flight changes
Going back to the airport
Transportation can also be booked from your hotel, resort or vacation rental to Calgary International Airport. Your pickup time covers the drive plus check-in, security and border procedures, and your airline's instructions come first. Give the correct departure time and terminal when you book.
If your flight changes
We monitor the arrival of the flight on your reservation, but can't find you on a different one. If any of these change, update them in Manage your booking:

Where will my driver meet me at Calgary Airport?
On the arrivals level, after baggage claim, or after customs if you land on an international or US flight. Tell us whether you arrive in the Domestic or International Terminal; the meeting point is in your confirmation.
How far is Calgary Airport from downtown Calgary?
YYC is about 17 km (11 miles) northeast of downtown, usually 20 to 30 minutes by road outside rush hour. Banff is about 130 km (80 miles) west, roughly 90 minutes, Canmore about 75 minutes, and Lake Louise about two hours.
Can you take me from Calgary Airport to Banff?
Yes. We drive you from YYC along the Trans-Canada Highway to your hotel, lodge or vacation rental in the town of Banff. Remember that everyone stopping in Banff National Park needs a Parks Canada pass.
Can you take me to Lake Louise?
Yes. We drive you to hotels in the Lake Louise village and to the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Moraine Lake Road is closed to personal vehicles, so plan the Parks Canada shuttle for Moraine Lake.
Can you take me to Canmore or Kananaskis?
Yes. We drive you to hotels and condos in Canmore and to Kananaskis Village and the resorts of Kananaskis Country. Canmore is outside the national park, so no Parks Canada pass is needed to stay there.
Can you take me from Calgary Airport to Jasper?
Jasper is a long drive north from Lake Louise along the Icefields Parkway. Enter your address in the booking form to see whether a transfer is offered for that route; if it is not, contact us before you fly.
Which terminal will I arrive at?
Flights within Canada arrive at the Domestic Terminal, and international and US flights at the International Terminal. Both are in one connected building, so tell us which kind of flight you are on when you book.
Do you drive to vacation rentals and private homes?
Yes. Give the full street address, unit number and any access details for homes in Calgary, condos in Canmore or cabins near Banff, so your driver goes straight to the door.
Do you pick up late-night and early-morning flights?
Yes. Book your transfer for the time your flight lands, however late, and for early departures give your flight time so the pickup leaves room for check-in and security.
Should I accept rides from people offering transport inside the terminal?
No. Use the official taxi stands or a car you booked in advance. With a pre-booked transfer, your driver, vehicle and price are confirmed before you land; check the company name before getting in.
What happens if my flight is delayed or canceled?
We follow the arrival of the flight on your reservation, so a delay on that flight is covered. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or the flight is canceled, update it in Manage your booking so your pickup can be moved.
Can I book a ride back to Calgary Airport from Banff?
Yes, as a one-way departure or on a round-trip reservation. Give your departure time; flights to the United States clear US preclearance at YYC before boarding, so allow for it in your pickup time.
Do I need a park pass for my transfer to Banff or Lake Louise?
Yes. Parks Canada requires a pass for everyone stopping in Banff National Park, including passengers arriving by private transfer. Buy a daily pass or a Discovery Pass online before you travel.
Is Airport Transportation the same as Calgary International Airport?
No. Airport Transportation is a private transfer booking site that takes travelers between the airport and their hotel, condo or lodge; we are not the airport or its operator. For terminals, airlines and facilities, see our Calgary Airport page.

Are prices per person or per vehicle?

How many people can a van carry?
It depends on the vehicle. Each vehicle shows its maximum number of passengers and suitcases before you book, so you can choose one that fits your group.
How do I find you at the airport?
Walk all the way out of the airport. You'll see representatives holding boards. Look for the Airport Transportation logo or your name.
What kind of vehicles do you use?
Commonly Toyota Hiace, Volkswagen Transporter, Mercedes Sprinter, Volkswagen Crafter, Chevrolet Tahoe, and Chevrolet Suburban.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We carry insurance with complete liability for all passengers while using our services.
Do you provide baby seats?
Baby seats are provided with prior notice, subject to availability, one seat maximum per vehicle.
How far in advance should I book?
You can book any time in advance; we suggest one week to one day ahead. Same-day reservations are available.
What payment methods are accepted?
You pay securely online when you book, by credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Do vehicles have air conditioning?
Yes. For your comfort all our units have air conditioning.
What if my flight is delayed?
During booking we ask for your airline and flight number so we can track delays and wait for you.
Can I make stops during my ride?
Yes, you can add an extra stop to your service during the booking process.
Do children pay differently than adults?
No. Prices are set per passenger range or per vehicle, not per age.
Is my reservation refundable?
Yes. Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your pick-up and you are refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before service are not refundable.
Do drivers speak English?
Yes. While their English may not be native-level, drivers have the skills to communicate with passengers.
Are tips mandatory?
Tips are not mandatory but are highly recommended; drivers earn them through service quality.
What currencies are accepted?
All prices are in USD. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the charge at its own exchange rate.
Are pets allowed?
We can transport domestic pets kept in cages that fit in a normal vehicle.
Is there room for luggage?
Yes. There is plenty of room for one suitcase and one carry-on per person.
What is included in the price?
Every private transfer includes a professional, licensed driver; an insured, well-maintained vehicle; real-time flight monitoring; meet-and-greet service at arrivals; and door-to-door service with no hidden fees added after booking. Your fixed price covers the full route to your destination.
