Airport Transportation in Dublin
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Dublin Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
Airport transportation in Dublin takes you from Dublin Airport to hotels and apartments in the city center, to Swords and Malahide on the north side, and south to Dún Laoghaire.
Dublin Airport Transfers
Our Dublin airport transfers start in the public arrivals hall of the terminal you land at, Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, after you clear customs. Your driver tracks your flight and waits with a sign showing your name.
You get a fixed price per vehicle before you fly, in sizes from sedans for couples and business travelers to vans for families and groups. Every Dublin airport transfer goes door to door, to a hotel near Temple Bar or Trinity College, an office in the city center, a home in Swords or Malahide, or a stay in Dún Laoghaire.
Dublin Airport Shuttle
Our Dublin airport shuttle is a private van for your party only: it leaves as soon as you are through customs and goes straight to your address, with no stops for other passengers. There is room for suitcases and strollers, so it suits families, groups and business travelers heading anywhere in Dublin.
Landing at Dublin Airport
Dublin Airport (DUB) is Ireland's main international gateway, in north County Dublin just south of Swords and outside the city proper. It is operated by daa and is the hub of Aer Lingus.
The airport has two terminals about a 10-minute walk apart: Terminal 1 handles most short-haul European flights, while Terminal 2 is home to Aer Lingus and the US airlines. Ireland is not part of the Schengen Area, so every international arrival goes through Irish border control. You then collect your bags in the baggage hall and pass customs into the public arrivals hall of your terminal.
Dublin is on GMT (UTC+0) in winter and Irish Standard Time (UTC+1) from late March to late October.
Irish border control
Ireland is not part of the Schengen Area. An Irish immigration officer checks your passport, any visa and supporting documents and, if you are admitted, stamps your passport with how long you may stay, up to 90 days for visitors. Adult EU, EEA and Swiss passport holders can use the eGates in both terminals. Check whether you need an Irish visa for your nationality before you travel.
Check your terminal
Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 each have their own arrivals hall, taxi ranks and bus zones, so note which one you land at and which one your return flight leaves from.
Use the rank or your booked driver
Only take rides from the official taxi ranks or from a driver you booked.
Changeable weather
Dublin's weather is mild but changeable, so keep a rain jacket handy at any time of year.

How Dublin Airport pickup works
- 1
Clear arrivals
Immigration, baggage claim, then customs. Representatives can't enter those areas.
- 2
Meet your representative
At the meeting point in your confirmation. Check the company name before getting in.
- 3
Go straight there
No other stops, no other passengers.
Meet in arrivals
Pre-booked drivers usually wait in the public arrivals hall of the terminal you land at, holding a name sign, after you clear customs. Check your terminal, 1 or 2, before you land.
Don't accept a ride from someone claiming to know your booking. Check the company name and reservation details before getting in.
Return trips and flight changes
Going back to the airport
Transportation can also be booked from your hotel, resort or vacation rental to Dublin Airport. Your pickup time covers the drive plus check-in, security and border procedures, and your airline's instructions come first. Give the correct departure time and terminal when you book.
If your flight changes
We monitor the arrival of the flight on your reservation, but can't find you on a different one. If any of these change, update them in Manage your booking:
