Landing at Dulles Airport
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is in Northern Virginia, west of Washington DC, between Loudoun and Fairfax counties. Arrivals and baggage claim are in the Main Terminal, with its sweeping roof by Eero Saarinen; gates are on the midfield Concourses A to D, reached by the AeroTrain or the airport's mobile lounges.
International arrivals clear US immigration and customs in the International Arrivals Building beside the Main Terminal, and queues can be long when several transatlantic flights land together. A Metrorail Silver Line station sits next to the terminal. Washington is on Eastern time.
- Entry to the US: international travelers need a valid passport and either a visa or an approved ESTA under the Visa Waiver Program. Have your arrival address ready for the immigration officer.
- Customs: declare food, plants and animal products, and cash over $10,000.
- Dulles, not Reagan or BWI: Washington has three airports. Check that your ticket says IAD before you book this page.
- Government and embassy addresses: give the exact entrance or visitor gate; many federal buildings don't allow drop-offs at the main door.
- Pickup: follow the pickup instructions in your confirmation, not the taxi or rideshare signs.

Where do I meet my driver at Dulles Airport?

What happens if my flight to Dulles is delayed?
We monitor the flight on your reservation, so a delay doesn't cancel your pickup. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or the flight is canceled, update it in Manage your booking as soon as you know.
How long does it take to get through customs at Dulles?
It depends on how many international flights land together; at peak times it can take an hour or more. Your flight is tracked, and the driver's contact details are in your confirmation if you need to tell them you're still inside.

No. Prices are set per passenger range or per vehicle, not per age.
Is my reservation refundable?
Yes. Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your pick-up and you are refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before service are not refundable.
Do drivers speak English?
Yes. While their English may not be native-level, drivers have the skills to communicate with passengers.
Are tips mandatory?
Tips are not mandatory but are highly recommended; drivers earn them through service quality.
What currencies are accepted?
All prices are in USD. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the charge at its own exchange rate.
