Airport Transportation in Geneva
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Geneva International Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
Airport transportation in Geneva takes you from Geneva International Airport to hotels and apartments across Geneva, and further out to Lausanne and Montreux on Lake Geneva, Annecy and Évian-les-Bains in France, and ski resorts such as Verbier and Saint-Gervais-les-Bains.
Geneva Airport Transfers
Our Geneva airport transfers start in the Swiss arrivals hall of Terminal 1, where your driver waits just past the customs exit with a name sign; turn right after customs to find the meeting point. If you land in the French sector or at the seasonal Terminal 2, you walk through to the same Terminal 1 meeting area, and we track your flight so the pickup follows your real landing time.
Choose a vehicle sized for your party, from a sedan for business travelers to a van for a family or ski group, and each Geneva airport transfer goes door to door to your hotel, apartment or chalet. For Lausanne, Montreux, the French side of the border and the ski resorts, enter the address in the booking form: when a vehicle is available for that route, the price shows before you pay; if it does not, contact us before you fly.
Geneva Airport Shuttle
Our Geneva airport shuttle is a private van for your party only: it leaves as soon as you have your bags and goes straight to your address, with no stops for other passengers. There is room for suitcases, skis and snowboards, so it suits families and ski groups heading to a chalet in the Alps.
Landing at Geneva Airport
Geneva International Airport (GVA) lies northwest of central Geneva, in Meyrin and Le Grand-Saconnex, with its northern edge on the French border. Almost all flights use Terminal 1, which has a Swiss side and a French sector for flights to and from France; a small Terminal 2 opens only on winter weekends for charter and seasonal ski flights.
Passengers arriving from outside the Schengen Area go through passport control; flights from Schengen countries have no passport check. Screens in the baggage hall show your belt, and skis and snowboards usually arrive at the oversized baggage counters at either end of the hall. After customs you enter the Swiss arrivals hall of Terminal 1.
Geneva is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to summer time (UTC+2) from late March to late October.
Schengen entry
Switzerland is in the Schengen Area. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Swiss side and French sector
The airport has a Swiss side and a French sector. If your flight came from France you may land in the French sector; allow extra time to pass through the internal border corridor to the Swiss side, where your driver meets you.
Swiss franc and euro
Switzerland uses the Swiss franc (CHF), while the neighboring French region uses the euro.
Ski season
Winters are cold, with snow in the nearby mountains, and winter weekends with ski charters are among the airport's busiest times. Collect skis and snowboards from the oversized baggage counters before you exit.

How Geneva Airport pickup works
- 1
Clear arrivals
Immigration, baggage claim, then customs. Representatives can't enter those areas.
- 2
Meet your representative
At the meeting point in your confirmation. Check the company name before getting in.
- 3
Go straight there
No other stops, no other passengers.
Meet in arrivals
Pre-booked drivers wait in the Swiss arrivals hall of Terminal 1, just past the customs exit, holding name signs. Turn right after customs to find them.
French sector and Terminal 2
If you land in the French sector, allow extra time to pass through the internal border corridor to the Swiss side. Terminal 2 is about a five-minute walk from the Terminal 1 meeting area.
Don't accept a ride from someone claiming to know your booking. Check the company name and reservation details before getting in.
Return trips and flight changes
Going back to the airport

I land in the French sector. Where do I meet my driver?
Allow extra time to pass through the internal border corridor to the Swiss side, then meet your driver in the Swiss arrivals hall of Terminal 1.

Can you take me to a ski resort such as Verbier or Saint-Gervais-les-Bains?

What happens if my flight to Geneva is delayed?
We track the arrival of the flight on your reservation, so your driver adjusts to a delay. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is canceled, update it in Manage your booking so we can move your pickup.
Can I book a ride back to Geneva Airport?
Yes. Book a return from your hotel or chalet and give us your flight time and whether you fly from the Swiss side or the French sector, so your pickup leaves enough time for check-in and security.
What do I need to enter Switzerland at Geneva Airport?
Switzerland is in the Schengen Area, so passengers arriving from outside Schengen pass through passport control, while flights from Schengen countries have no passport check. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation.
