Airport Transportation in Jeddah
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from King Abdulaziz International Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
Our airport transportation in Jeddah takes you from King Abdulaziz International Airport to hotels, apartments and homes across the city, from the Corniche and the northern districts to Obhur and historic Al Balad, and on to hotels in Makkah near the Grand Mosque.
Jeddah Airport Transfers
Jeddah airport transfers start in the arrivals hall of the terminal where your flight lands, whether Terminal 1, Terminal 4, the North Terminal or the Hajj and Umrah Terminal, and your driver waits there with a name sign. We track your flight, so the pickup follows your real landing time, and the price for your vehicle is fixed when you book, before you fly.
Choose a sedan for two, an SUV for a family, or a van for a larger group with luggage, and each Jeddah airport transfer goes door to door to your hotel, apartment or home in Jeddah, or to your hotel in Makkah. Going on to Madinah or King Abdullah Economic City? Enter your address in the booking form to see whether a transfer is offered.
Jeddah Airport Shuttle
Our Jeddah airport shuttle is a private van for your party only, not a shared bus or coach that waits to fill up and stops at other hotels. It suits families and groups traveling together, including pilgrims heading straight to their hotel in Makkah after a long flight.
Landing at Jeddah Airport
King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) is the main airport for Jeddah and the usual arrival point for Makkah, north of the city near the Red Sea coast. It has four passenger areas in separate buildings: Terminal 1, used by Saudia, flynas, flyadeal and most full-service airlines; Terminal 4, opened in phases from September 2026 for many foreign and low-cost airlines; the North Terminal; and the Hajj and Umrah Terminal for pilgrim flights.
At passport control, have your visa or eVisa ready; fingerprints and a photo are usually taken on entry, and lines can be long when several wide-body flights land together, especially in the Umrah and Hajj seasons. After baggage claim you pass customs, where bags are X-rayed, into the arrivals hall of your terminal, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.
Saudi Arabia is on Arabia Standard Time (UTC+3) all year, with no daylight saving time, and uses the Saudi riyal (SAR).
Visa before you fly
Most visitors need a visa. Citizens of many countries, including the US, the UK and most of Europe, can apply online for a tourist eVisa, and some eligible travelers can get a visa on arrival; check the current rules for your nationality on the official Visit Saudi visa site.
Umrah permits
Holders of valid visas, including the tourist eVisa, may perform Umrah, but you also need an Umrah permit booked in the Nusuk app, separate from your visa. Hajj requires its own visa and permit.
Makkah entry
Entry to Makkah is restricted to Muslims, and checkpoints on the highway into the city check travelers, so keep your passport and visa with you during the ride.
Your terminal
Airlines are moving to the new Terminal 4 in phases, and the terminals are separate buildings, so give your airline and arrival terminal when you book.
Before you fly to Jeddah
How Jeddah Airport pickup works
- 1
Clear arrivals
Immigration, baggage claim, then customs. Representatives can't enter those areas.
- 2
Meet your representative
At the meeting point in your confirmation. Check the company name before getting in.
- 3
Go straight there
No other stops, no other passengers.
Meet in the arrivals hall
Pre-booked drivers usually meet passengers in the arrivals hall of the terminal where the flight lands, holding a name sign, after customs.
Confirm your terminal
Terminal 1, Terminal 4, the North Terminal and the Hajj and Umrah Terminal are separate buildings, so confirm the arrival terminal before your driver sets off.
Don't accept a ride from someone claiming to know your booking. Check the company name and reservation details before getting in.
Return trips and flight changes
Going back to the airport
Transportation can also be booked from your hotel, resort or vacation rental to King Abdulaziz International Airport. Your pickup time covers the drive plus check-in, security and border procedures, and your airline's instructions come first. Give the correct departure time and terminal when you book.
If your flight changes
We monitor the arrival of the flight on your reservation, but can't find you on a different one. If any of these change, update them in Manage your booking:

Where will my driver meet me at Jeddah Airport?
In the arrivals hall of the terminal where your flight lands, holding a sign with your name, after passport control, baggage claim and customs. Terminal 1, Terminal 4, the North Terminal and the Hajj and Umrah Terminal are separate buildings, so give your arrival terminal when you book.
How far is Jeddah Airport from the city center and Makkah?
King Abdulaziz International Airport is about 19 km (12 miles) north of central Jeddah, usually 25 to 45 minutes by car depending on traffic. Makkah is about 100 km (62 miles) southeast by road, usually 1 to 1.5 hours, longer in the busiest pilgrim periods.
Can you take me to my hotel in Makkah?
Yes. We drive door to door to hotels in Makkah, including those near the Grand Mosque. Where traffic is closed around the mosque, your driver stops at the nearest point a car can reach. Entry to Makkah is restricted to Muslims.
Can you take me to the Corniche or Al Balad?
Yes. We drive to hotels and homes along the Jeddah Corniche and to historic Al Balad. In the narrow lanes of Al Balad, your driver stops at the nearest point a car can reach.
Can you take me to Obhur?
Yes. We drive to hotels, resorts, beach clubs and homes in North and South Obhur, on the Red Sea coast north of the city.
Can you take me to Madinah or King Abdullah Economic City?
Enter your address in the booking form to see whether a transfer is offered. If no vehicle shows for your route, contact us before you fly.
Which terminal will I arrive at in Jeddah?
Saudia, flynas, flyadeal and most full-service airlines use Terminal 1. Many low-cost and other foreign airlines use the new Terminal 4 or the North Terminal, and pilgrim flights often use the Hajj and Umrah Terminal. Check your terminal with your airline, as some airlines are still moving.
Do you drive to apartments, villas and family homes in Jeddah?
Yes. Give the full address, the district and any compound or gate details, and a phone number your driver can call. Many homes are inside compounds with a security gate, where your driver waits at the entrance.
Can you pick me up from a late-night or early-morning flight?
Yes. Many flights land in Jeddah late at night and early in the morning, and your driver meets you whatever the hour, as long as your flight details are on your reservation.
Should I accept rides from people offering transportation inside Jeddah Airport?
There is no need. Booking ahead gives you a confirmed vehicle and a meeting point before you land. If someone approaches you in arrivals, check the company name against your confirmation before getting in.
What happens if my flight is delayed or canceled?
We monitor the flight on your reservation, so your driver waits for the actual landing. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is canceled, update it in Manage your booking so the pickup can be moved.
Can I book a ride back to Jeddah Airport?
Yes. Book a one-way departure or a round trip from your hotel in Jeddah or Makkah. Give your flight number, departure time and departure terminal, so the pickup allows for traffic, check-in and security.
Do I need an Umrah permit as well as my visa?
Yes, if you plan to perform Umrah. Holders of valid visas, including the tourist eVisa, may perform Umrah, but the permit is booked separately in the Nusuk app. Hajj requires its own visa and permit.
Is Airport Transportation the same as King Abdulaziz International Airport?

Is there room for luggage?
Yes. There is plenty of room for one suitcase and one carry-on per person.
