Airport Transportation in Kansai

Kansai Airport Transfers

Terminal 2 is a shuttle-bus ride from Terminal 1, so check the terminal on your ticket and give it when you book. We track your flight, so the pickup follows your real landing time, late at night included, and you choose the vehicle for your party, from a sedan for two to a minivan or minibus for a family or group with luggage.
Each Kansai airport transfer goes door to door to your hotel, apartment or office in Osaka, in Namba, Shinsaibashi, Umeda or around Shin-Osaka Station, or to Universal Studios Japan. Kansai Airport Shuttle
Our Kansai airport shuttle is a private car or van from KIX for your party only, not a shared bus that stops at several hotels on the way into Osaka. It leaves as soon as you are through arrivals, with room for suitcases and strollers, and suits families heading to Universal Studios Japan, groups and anyone landing late at night.
Landing at Kansai Airport
Kansai International Airport (KIX) is the main international airport for Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe, built on an artificial island in Osaka Bay and linked to the mainland by the Sky Gate Bridge. It is open 24 hours. Terminal 1, designed by Renzo Piano, handles most international and domestic flights, including ANA and Japan Airlines; Terminal 2 is a smaller, single-story terminal for low-cost airlines such as Peach, Spring Airlines and Jeju Air, linked to Terminal 1 by free shuttle buses. Osaka's other airport, Itami (ITM), handles domestic flights only.
On an international flight you go through quarantine, then immigration, where foreign visitors have their fingerprints and photo taken, and then customs. Registering your details on Visit Japan Web before you fly can speed up immigration and customs. After customs you come out into the arrivals lobby, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.
Japan is on Japan Standard Time (UTC+9) all year, with no daylight saving time, and uses the yen.

Yes. Kansai Airport is open 24 hours, and we track the flight on your reservation, so your driver waits for your actual landing even after midnight.
Is there a train or bus from Kansai Airport?
Yes. Nankai trains, including the rapi:t, run to Namba, JR trains, including the Haruka, run to Tennōji, Shin-Osaka and Kyoto, and Airport Limousine buses go to hotels and stations in Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe. A private transfer is easier with luggage, late at night when the trains have stopped, or for addresses away from the stations.
What happens if my flight to Kansai is delayed?

Commonly Toyota Hiace, Volkswagen Transporter, Mercedes Sprinter, Volkswagen Crafter, Chevrolet Tahoe, and Chevrolet Suburban.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We carry insurance with complete liability for all passengers while using our services.
Do you provide baby seats?
Baby seats are provided with prior notice, subject to availability, one seat maximum per vehicle.

No. Prices are set per passenger range or per vehicle, not per age.
Is my reservation refundable?
Yes. Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your pick-up and you are refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before service are not refundable.
Do drivers speak English?
Yes. While their English may not be native-level, drivers have the skills to communicate with passengers.
Are tips mandatory?
Tips are not mandatory but are highly recommended; drivers earn them through service quality.
What currencies are accepted?
All prices are in USD. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the charge at its own exchange rate.
Are pets allowed?
We can transport domestic pets kept in cages that fit in a normal vehicle.
Is there room for luggage?
Yes. There is plenty of room for one suitcase and one carry-on per person.
