Airport Transportation in Lanzarote
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
Our airport transportation in Lanzarote takes you from César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport to hotels, apartments and villas in Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero, Playa Blanca and Yaiza in the south, Costa Teguise and Arrecife on the east coast, and to the ferry port in Playa Blanca.
Lanzarote Airport Transfers
Lanzarote airport transfers start in the arrivals hall on Floor 0 of Terminal 1, where your driver waits with a name sign after baggage claim and customs; if you fly in from another Canary Island, the driver meets you at the Terminal 2 arrivals exit next door. We track your flight, so the pickup follows your real landing time, and you agree a fixed price per vehicle before you fly, from a sedan for two to a van for a family or group with luggage and bikes.
Each Lanzarote airport transfer goes door to door to your hotel, apartment or villa, or to the port in Playa Blanca for the ferries to Fuerteventura. Heading to Órzola, Famara or the villages of the north? Enter the address in the booking form: when a vehicle is available for that route, the price shows before you pay; if it does not, contact us before you fly.
Lanzarote Airport Shuttle
Our Lanzarote airport shuttle is a private van for your party only, not a coach that drops other travelers at hotel after hotel between Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca. It leaves as soon as you have your bags, with room for suitcases, strollers and bike boxes, and suits families and groups bound for a resort or a villa.
Landing at Lanzarote Airport
César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport (ACE), also called Lanzarote or Arrecife Airport, is on the island's south coast in San Bartolomé, and Aena runs it. It has two terminals side by side: Terminal 1 for international and mainland Spanish flights, and Terminal 2 for inter-island flights from the other Canary Islands.
Flights from Spain and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks; from outside the Schengen area, including the UK and Ireland, you line up at passport control in Terminal 1. After baggage claim you pass the customs channels into the arrivals hall on Floor 0, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers and the tourist information office and car rental desks are.
The Canary Islands are on Western European Time (UTC+0, UTC+1 from late March to late October), one hour behind mainland Spain. Spain uses the euro.
Schengen entry
Lanzarote is part of Spain and the Schengen area. Non-EU travelers arriving from outside it are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) at passport control. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Duty-free limits
The Canary Islands are outside the EU VAT and customs area, so duty-free allowances on tobacco, alcohol and other goods apply on arrival and when you fly home, even to mainland Spain.
Check your terminal
Inter-island flights from Gran Canaria, Tenerife and the other islands use Terminal 2, not Terminal 1. Give your flight number when you book so your driver waits at the right exit.
Canary time
The islands are one hour behind mainland Spain, so give your pickup and flight times in local Canary time.

How Lanzarote Airport pickup works
- 1
Clear arrivals
Immigration, baggage claim, then customs. Representatives can't enter those areas.
- 2
Meet your representative
At the meeting point in your confirmation. Check the company name before getting in.
- 3
Go straight there
No other stops, no other passengers.
Meet in the Terminal 1 arrivals hall
International and mainland Spanish flights arrive at Terminal 1, and pre-booked drivers meet passengers in its arrivals hall on Floor 0 after baggage claim and customs, where Aena's meeting point is.
Inter-island arrivals at Terminal 2
Flights from the other Canary Islands arrive at Terminal 2, next to Terminal 1, and drivers meet those passengers outside its arrivals exit on Floor 0.
Don't accept a ride from someone claiming to know your booking. Check the company name and reservation details before getting in.
Return trips and flight changes
Going back to the airport
Transportation can also be booked from your hotel, resort or vacation rental to César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport. Your pickup time covers the drive plus check-in, security and border procedures, and your airline's instructions come first. Give the correct departure time and terminal when you book.
If your flight changes
We monitor the arrival of the flight on your reservation, but can't find you on a different one. If any of these change, update them in Manage your booking:

Where will my driver meet me at Lanzarote Airport?
In the arrivals hall on Floor 0 of Terminal 1, holding a sign with your name, after baggage claim and customs. If you arrive on an inter-island flight, your driver meets you outside the Terminal 2 arrivals exit, next door.
How far is Lanzarote Airport from Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca?
Puerto del Carmen is about 10 km (6 miles) west, around 15 minutes by car, and Costa Teguise, beyond Arrecife, is a similar drive. Playa Blanca, at the southern tip of the island, is about 32 km (20 miles) away, roughly 30 to 40 minutes.
Can you take me to Puerto del Carmen or Puerto Calero?
Yes. We drive door to door to hotels, apartments and villas in Puerto del Carmen, Puerto Calero, Playa Honda and Tías.
Can you take me to Playa Blanca?
Yes. We drive to hotels, apartments and villas in Playa Blanca, Las Coloradas and Yaiza, and to the port in Playa Blanca for the ferries to Corralejo on Fuerteventura. Give us your sailing time when you book, so the pickup leaves a comfortable margin for check-in.
Can you take me to Costa Teguise or Arrecife?
Yes. We drive to hotels and apartments in Costa Teguise and in Arrecife, the island capital, including the port for cruise ships and ferries to the other islands.
Can you take me to Órzola, Famara or the north of the island?
Órzola, where boats leave for La Graciosa, Caleta de Famara and villages such as Haría are in the north of Lanzarote. Enter the address in the booking form: when a vehicle is available for that route, the price shows before you pay; if it does not, contact us before you fly.
How many terminals does Lanzarote Airport have?
Two, side by side. Terminal 1 handles international and mainland Spanish flights, and Terminal 2 handles inter-island flights within the Canaries. Your flight number tells your driver which exit to wait at.
Do you drive to villas and vacation rentals in Lanzarote?
Yes. Give the full street address, the villa or apartment number and any gate or access code. Many rural villas have no house number, so a map pin helps your driver find you.
Can you pick me up from a late-night or early-morning flight?
Yes. Book with your flight number and your driver waits for your actual landing time, even after the last buses have left the airport.
Should I accept rides offered inside Lanzarote Airport?
There is no need. Booking ahead gives you a confirmed vehicle and a meeting point before you land. Aena advises taking taxis only from the signed rank, and if someone approaches you in arrivals, check the company name against your confirmation before getting in.
What happens if my flight is delayed or canceled?
We monitor the flight on your reservation, so your driver waits for the actual landing. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is canceled, update it in Manage your booking so the pickup can be moved.
Can I book a ride back to Lanzarote Airport?
Yes. Book a one-way departure or a round trip from your hotel, apartment or villa, and give your flight number and departure time in local Canary time, so the pickup is set for check-in and security at the right terminal.
Do I go through customs when I land in Lanzarote?
Yes, if you have goods to declare. The Canary Islands are outside the EU VAT and customs area, so duty-free limits apply even on flights from mainland Spain, and arriving passengers pass the customs channels after baggage claim.
Is Airport Transportation the same as César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport?
No. Airport Transportation is a private transfer service that books rides from ACE; we are not the airport or its operator. For terminals, airlines and other ways to get around, see our Lanzarote airport page.

Are prices per person or per vehicle?

How many people can a van carry?
It depends on the vehicle. Each vehicle shows its maximum number of passengers and suitcases before you book, so you can choose one that fits your group.
How do I find you at the airport?
Walk all the way out of the airport. You'll see representatives holding boards. Look for the Airport Transportation logo or your name.
What kind of vehicles do you use?
Commonly Toyota Hiace, Volkswagen Transporter, Mercedes Sprinter, Volkswagen Crafter, Chevrolet Tahoe, and Chevrolet Suburban.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We carry insurance with complete liability for all passengers while using our services.

You pay securely online when you book, by credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Do vehicles have air conditioning?
Yes. For your comfort all our units have air conditioning.
What if my flight is delayed?
During booking we ask for your airline and flight number so we can track delays and wait for you.
Can I make stops during my ride?
Yes, you can add an extra stop to your service during the booking process.
Do children pay differently than adults?
No. Prices are set per passenger range or per vehicle, not per age.
Is my reservation refundable?
Yes. Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your pick-up and you are refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before service are not refundable.
Do drivers speak English?
Yes. While their English may not be native-level, drivers have the skills to communicate with passengers.
Are tips mandatory?
Tips are not mandatory but are highly recommended; drivers earn them through service quality.
What currencies are accepted?
All prices are in USD. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the charge at its own exchange rate.
Are pets allowed?
We can transport domestic pets kept in cages that fit in a normal vehicle.
Is there room for luggage?
Yes. There is plenty of room for one suitcase and one carry-on per person.
What is included in the price?
Every private transfer includes a professional, licensed driver; an insured, well-maintained vehicle; real-time flight monitoring; meet-and-greet service at arrivals; and door-to-door service with no hidden fees added after booking. Your fixed price covers the full route to your destination.
