Portland International Airport (PDX) sits on the Columbia River in northeast Portland. It has one terminal under a large timber roof, with Concourses A to E and baggage claim on the lower level, so it's quick to get from the gate to the curb.
International arrivals clear US immigration and customs at the airport before baggage claim. Rain is common from fall to spring, and winter ice storms can delay flights. Portland is on Pacific time.
- Entry to the US: international travelers need a valid passport and either a visa or an approved ESTA under the Visa Waiver Program. Have your arrival address ready for the immigration officer.
- Customs: declare food, plants and animal products, and cash over $10,000.
- Oregon or Washington: Vancouver and other towns north of the river are in Washington. Give the full address, state included.
- Mountain and coast trips: chains or traction tires can be required on Mount Hood roads in winter. Allow extra time, especially on return trips.

Is my reservation refundable?
Yes. Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your pick-up and you are refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before service are not refundable.
Do drivers speak English?
Yes. While their English may not be native-level, drivers have the skills to communicate with passengers.
Are tips mandatory?
Tips are not mandatory but are highly recommended; drivers earn them through service quality.
What currencies are accepted?
All prices are in USD. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the charge at its own exchange rate.
Are pets allowed?
