Corfu International Airport "Ioannis Kapodistrias" (CFU) is the airport for the island of Corfu, in the Ionian Sea, Greece. It sits just south of Corfu Town, about 2–3 km by road from the old town, around 10 minutes by car. In 2024 it handled about 4.3 million passengers, most of them between April and October.
The United Kingdom is by far the biggest market, followed by Germany, Greece, Italy and Poland. Aegean Airlines and Ryanair have focus cities here, and easyJet, Jet2, TUI, Wizz Air, Norwegian and Eurowings fly many seasonal routes.
All flights use a single passenger terminal, first opened in 1972. Fraport Greece runs the airport and has been upgrading it with more check-in desks and departure gates.
From the airport, most visitors head into Corfu Town, south to Benitses, Moraitika and Kavos, north to Dassia, Ipsos, Kassiopi and Sidari, or west to Paleokastritsa and Glyfada. Ferries to Paxos and the mainland leave from Corfu Town's port.

Arrival tips for Corfu Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport
All flights arrive at the single terminal. Flights from Athens and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks. If you come from outside the Schengen area, as many visitors do from the UK, you queue at passport control, where non-EU visitors are registered in the EU's Entry/Exit System. On summer weekends, when many charter flights land close together, the small terminal can be very crowded.
Once you have your bags, head outside to the taxi rank and the bus stop. Buses run between the airport and Corfu Town, and taxis take about 10 minutes to the old town. For resorts further away, such as Kassiopi, Sidari, Paleokastritsa or Kavos, the drive can take an hour or more on narrow island roads. Pre-booked drivers usually meet you in the arrivals area.
Greece is on Eastern European Time (EET), two hours ahead of the UK, and uses the euro.
