Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is the airport for the island of Ibiza, in the Balearic Islands, Spain. It sits on the south of the island, about 7 km (4 miles) southwest of Ibiza Town, close to the beaches of Platja d'en Bossa and Ses Salines. In 2024 it handled about 9.1 million passengers, most of them between May and October.
Vueling has a focus city here and, with Iberia and Air Europa, flies year-round to Barcelona, Madrid and Palma. In summer, Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2 and TUI add several dozen seasonal routes across Europe, with Amsterdam, Manchester and London Gatwick among the busiest international routes.
All flights use a single terminal, with one runway alongside it.
From the airport, most visitors head into Ibiza Town and Platja d'en Bossa, west to Sant Antoni, north to Santa Eulària and the quieter north of the island, or to the port for ferries to Formentera.

Arrival tips for Ibiza Airport
All flights arrive at the single terminal. Flights from Spain and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks. If you come from outside the Schengen area, as many summer passengers do from the UK, you queue at passport control, where non-EU visitors are registered in the EU's Entry/Exit System. On peak summer weekends, when many flights land together, queues and baggage claim can be slow.
Once you have your bags, follow the signs out of the arrivals hall to the taxi rank, the bus stops and the car rental desks. Public buses run from the airport to Ibiza Town, Sant Antoni and other parts of the island, with more frequent services in summer. Pre-booked drivers usually meet you in the arrivals hall.
Taxi queues can be very long on busy summer evenings, so if you are arriving in July or August, book your ride ahead.
Spain is on Central European Time (CET) and uses the euro.
Ground transportation
Ibiza is small, but taxi queues are long in summer; a pre-booked car is the surest option, and buses are the cheapest.
