Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), known until December 2021 as McCarran International Airport, serves Las Vegas and southern Nevada. It sits in Paradise, about 5 miles (8 km) south of downtown Las Vegas and right next to the Las Vegas Strip.
Southwest is by far the largest airline, carrying about 40% of passengers, and Allegiant, Frontier and JSX also have bases here. The airport handled about 55 million passengers in 2025, with flights across the United States and to Canada, Mexico and Europe.
There are two passenger terminals. Terminal 1 has Concourses A, B and C, and Terminal 3 has the E gates and handles international arrivals. Concourse D, a satellite reached by tram, serves both terminals. Its 14,835 ft runway is the second-longest civil runway in the United States.
Most travelers head straight to hotels on the Strip and downtown, or to the Las Vegas Convention Center. A consolidated rental car center about 3 miles away is reached by shuttle bus.

Arrival tips for Harry Reid International Airport
Check which terminal you land at: Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. Each has its own baggage claim and pickup areas, and drivers meet you at your terminal. If your plane arrives at Concourse D, take the tram to your terminal.
If you arrive on an international flight, you clear US Customs and Border Protection in Terminal 3; a tunnel links the international gates in Concourse D to the customs hall. If you are eligible, Global Entry or Mobile Passport Control can shorten the line.
Domestic passengers go straight to baggage claim in their terminal.
Follow the signs for taxis, ride apps and shuttles. RTC public buses stop on Level 0, and the shuttle to the rental car center leaves from both terminals. The Strip is close, but traffic can be heavy during big conventions and weekends.
