Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is the main airport for Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley in Southern California, in the United States. It sits about 2 miles east of downtown Palm Springs, reached by Tahquitz Canyon Way, Ramon Road and Gene Autry Trail.
Alaska, American, Delta, Southwest and United fly here, many of them only in the winter season, linking Palm Springs with Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix and other US cities. Canadian airlines, including WestJet, Air Canada, Porter and Flair, fly to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto, mostly in winter.
The airport has one main building with ticketing, security, baggage claim and car rental. Past security, an open-air courtyard leads to two concourses: the elevated Sonny Bono Concourse with 8 jet-bridge gates, and the ground-level Agua Caliente Concourse (Gates 12–20), where passengers walk out to the aircraft. The walkways between buildings are open to the sky.
From the airport, travelers head into downtown Palm Springs, up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, or across the Coachella Valley to Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, La Quinta and Indio.

Arrival tips for Palm Springs International Airport
PSP is a small airport, and the walk from the plane to the street is short. If you land at the ground-level Agua Caliente Concourse (Gates 12–20), you leave the aircraft on the tarmac; at the Sonny Bono Concourse you use a jet bridge.
From your gate, walk back through the open-air courtyard to the main building, where baggage claim and the rental car counters are. The walkways are outside, so in summer expect strong heat, and in winter cool evenings.
Once you have your bags, follow the ground transportation signs outside the main building. Taxis, rideshare, hotel shuttles and pre-booked cars each have signposted pickup areas, and the main parking lot is directly in front of the building.
SunLine SunBus routes 2 and 4 serve downtown Palm Springs, and an Amtrak Thruway bus stops just outside baggage claim, with connections to Riverside and Fullerton.
Palm Springs is on Pacific Time. Winter, roughly November to April, is the busy season, and big events such as the Coachella festival fill the valley, so book your ride ahead.
