Rhodes International Airport "Diagoras" (RHO) is the airport for the island of Rhodes, in the Dodecanese, Greece. It sits on the west coast of the island, just north of the village of Paradeisi, about 14 km (9 miles) southwest of Rhodes Town. In 2024 it handled about 6.9 million passengers, most of them on international flights in summer.
The United Kingdom and Germany are the biggest markets, followed by Greece, Poland and Israel. Aegean Airlines has a focus city here and Olympic Air a hub, flying year-round to Athens and other Greek cities, while easyJet, Ryanair, Jet2, TUI, Condor, Eurowings and Sky Express add many seasonal routes.
All flights use a single passenger terminal, opened in 2005 and upgraded by Fraport Greece with more check-in counters, gates, security lanes and baggage belts.
From the airport, most visitors head north to Rhodes Town and its medieval Old Town, along the east coast to Faliraki, Kolymbia and Lindos, or down the west coast to Ialysos and Kremasti.

Arrival tips for Rhodes International Airport "Diagoras"
All flights arrive at the single terminal. Flights from Athens and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks. If you come from outside the Schengen area, as many visitors do from the UK or Israel, you queue at passport control, where non-EU visitors are registered in the EU's Entry/Exit System. On summer weekends, when many charter flights land close together, queues can be long.
Once you have your bags, head outside to the taxi rank, the bus stop and the car rental desks. Buses run toward Rhodes Town along the west coast, and taxis wait outside arrivals. Lindos and the east-coast resorts are on the other side of the island, so the drive there takes noticeably longer than to Rhodes Town. Pre-booked drivers usually meet you in the arrivals area.
Greece is on Eastern European Time (EET), two hours ahead of the UK, and uses the euro. Summers are hot and windy, so carry water and sun protection.
Ground transportation
Rhodes Town is a short drive away; for Lindos, Faliraki and the east coast, a pre-booked car or taxi is the easiest choice.
