Airport Transportation in Managua

Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Augusto C. Sandino International Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.

After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.

Our airport transportation in Managua takes you from Augusto C. Sandino International Airport to hotels across the capital, the colonial center of Granada, Masaya and Laguna de Apoyo, León in the northwest and the Pacific beaches around San Juan del Sur.

Managua Airport Transfers

Your driver waits in the arrivals area just outside customs at Managua Airport, holding a sign with your name, and follows your flight so a delay doesn't leave you without a ride. Managua airport transfers are priced per vehicle and confirmed before you fly, so the fare is settled before you land.

Choose a sedan for two, an SUV for a family or a van for a group, and ride door to door to your hotel in Managua, a guesthouse in colonial Granada, a stay at Laguna de Apoyo or a beach rental near San Juan del Sur.

Managua Airport Shuttle

Our Managua airport shuttle is a private van for your party only, leaving as soon as you are through customs instead of waiting to fill seats. It has room for suitcases and surfboards, which suits families, groups of friends and surfers heading to the beaches around San Juan del Sur.

Landing at Managua Airport

Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA) is Nicaragua's main international gateway, on the eastern side of Managua, and is run by the state company EAAI. One passenger terminal handles both international flights and La Costeña's domestic flights to Bluefields, Corn Island and Puerto Cabezas, so immigration, baggage claim, customs and the arrivals exit are all in the same building.

After landing you go through immigration, collect your bags in baggage claim and pass through customs before walking out to the arrivals area, where pre-booked drivers wait with name signs. The terminal has a bank for exchanging money into Nicaraguan córdobas (NIO).

Managua is on Central Standard Time (UTC−6) all year, with no daylight saving time.
