Airport Transportation in Mexico City
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Mexico City Benito Juárez International Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
From MEX, airport transportation in Mexico City covers the Centro Histórico, Reforma and Juárez, Polanco, Roma and Condesa, Coyoacán and San Ángel, and the business district of Santa Fe, with longer rides to Puebla, Cuernavaca and Toluca.
Mexico City Airport Transfers
Mexico City airport transfers start in the public arrivals hall of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2: your driver meets you there after customs, and we track your flight so a delay doesn't cost you the pickup. The price is fixed per vehicle before you fly, from sedans for one or two travelers to vans for families and groups.
Each Mexico City airport transfer goes door to door, to hotels on Reforma, apartments in Roma and Condesa, homes in Coyoacán or offices in Santa Fe, with the driver handling the city's traffic while you sit back.
Mexico City Airport Shuttle
Our Mexico City airport shuttle is a private van for your party only: it leaves as soon as you're through arrivals and goes straight to your address, with no stops for other passengers. It suits families, business teams and groups with plenty of luggage who would rather not split across several cars.
Landing at Mexico City Airport
Mexico City International Airport (Benito Juárez, known locally as AICM) sits 5 km east of the historic center, at 2,230 m above sea level. It has two terminals about 3 km apart on opposite sides of the airfield: Terminal 1 for Volaris, Viva Aerobus and most foreign airlines, and Terminal 2 for Aeroméxico, Delta and Copa.
Arrivals are on the ground floor of both terminals. International passengers clear immigration, collect their bags and pass customs before reaching the public arrivals hall; queues at immigration grow when several long-haul flights land together.
Mexico City runs on Central Standard Time (UTC−6) all year.
Check your terminal
Your driver waits at the terminal on your booking. If your airline lands at the other one, tell us before you fly: the terminals are 3 km apart.
Make sure you land at MEX
Felipe Ángeles (NLU) and Toluca (TLC) also serve the capital. These transfers start at Benito Juárez (MEX), so check the code on your ticket.
Ride offers inside the terminal
Turn down anyone who approaches you offering a ride in the arrivals hall and wait for the driver named in your confirmation.
Entry
International visitors need a valid passport. Carry some pesos for tips and small purchases.

How Mexico City Airport pickup works
- 1
Clear arrivals
Immigration, baggage claim, then customs. Representatives can't enter those areas.
- 2
Meet your representative
At the meeting point in your confirmation. Check the company name before getting in.
- 3
Go straight there
No other stops, no other passengers.
Meet in the arrivals hall
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue into the public arrivals hall of your terminal. Check whether you land at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2; your confirmation names the meeting point.
Don't accept a ride from someone claiming to know your booking. Check the company name and reservation details before getting in.
Return trips and flight changes
Going back to the airport
Transportation can also be booked from your hotel, resort or vacation rental to Mexico City Benito Juárez International Airport. Your pickup time covers the drive plus check-in, security and border procedures, and your airline's instructions come first. Give the correct departure time and terminal when you book.
If your flight changes
We monitor the arrival of the flight on your reservation, but can't find you on a different one. If any of these change, update them in Manage your booking:

Where will my driver meet me at Mexico City Airport?
In the public arrivals hall of the terminal you land at, after immigration, baggage claim and customs. Representatives can't enter the customs area, and your confirmation names the exact meeting point.
Which terminal does my airline use at Mexico City Airport?
Aeroméxico, Aeroméxico Connect, Delta and Copa use Terminal 2. Volaris, Viva Aerobus and most foreign airlines, including American, United, Air Canada, Iberia and Lufthansa, use Terminal 1. Terminal assignments can change, so check your boarding pass and give your flight number when you book.
Is Mexico City Airport the same as AICM or Benito Juárez Airport?
Yes. Mexico City Airport, Benito Juárez International Airport and AICM are the same airport, code MEX. Felipe Ángeles (NLU) and Toluca (TLC) are different airports that also serve the metropolitan area.
How far is Mexico City Airport from the city center?
The airport is 5 km east of the historic center. Reforma, Polanco, Roma, Condesa and Santa Fe lie farther west, and travel time depends heavily on Mexico City traffic, which can be slow at any hour.
Can I book transportation for a late-night or early-morning flight?
Yes. Transportation can be scheduled for late arrivals and early departures. Availability is confirmed through the booking system, so book ahead and give your exact flight time.
Can you take me from Mexico City Airport to Puebla, Cuernavaca or Toluca?
Yes. Enter the full address on the booking form to see the vehicles and fixed price available for that route before you pay.
Can you take me to Santa Fe?
Yes. Transfers run to hotels and offices in Santa Fe as well as Polanco, Reforma, Roma, Condesa and Coyoacán. Add the building name and any visitor-access instructions for office towers.
Can I book transportation to an Airbnb in Roma or Condesa?
Yes. Enter the full address with the street number and any entrance details, and mention if the building is on a narrow or one-way street.
Should I accept ride offers in the arrivals hall?
No. If you already have a booking, turn down anyone who approaches you offering a ride and head to the meeting point in your confirmation.
What happens if my flight is delayed or canceled?
We monitor the flight on your reservation, so a delay doesn't cancel your pickup. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or the flight is canceled, update it in Manage your booking as soon as you know.
Can I book a ride back to Mexico City Airport?
Yes. Add the return trip when you book, or book it later. Give your departure time and terminal so the pickup leaves enough margin for Mexico City traffic and check-in.
Is Airport Transportation the same as Mexico City International Airport?
No. Airport Transportation is an independent transportation-booking service, not the airport operator, an airline or a government authority. For terminal, airline and facility details, see the Mexico City International Airport page.
