Airport Transportation in Moscow
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Sheremetyevo International Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
Our airport transportation in Moscow runs from Sheremetyevo (SVO) to hotels and apartments in central Moscow around the Kremlin, Red Square and Tverskaya Street, to the Moscow City business district and to the city's railway stations.
Moscow Airport Transfers
Moscow airport transfers from Sheremetyevo start in the public arrivals hall of the terminal where your flight lands, where your driver waits with a name sign after passport control, baggage claim and customs. Sheremetyevo's north terminals (B and C) and south terminal (D) are far apart, so give your airline and arrival terminal when you book. We track your flight, so the pickup follows your real landing time.
Each Moscow airport transfer is booked for one vehicle, from a sedan for two to a van for a family or group with luggage, and goes door to door to your hotel, apartment or office in central Moscow or Moscow City. These transfers start at Sheremetyevo only; if your ticket shows another Moscow airport, this is not the page to book.
Moscow Airport Shuttle
Our Moscow airport shuttle is a private van for your party only, not a shared shuttle with stops along the way. It leaves Sheremetyevo as soon as you have your bags, with room for suitcases and winter coats, and suits families, business groups and anyone arriving tired after a long flight.
Landing at Moscow Airport
Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) is northwest of Moscow, in Khimki, and is the main hub of Aeroflot. Its terminals form two complexes linked by a free underground train: Terminals B and C in the north complex handle most domestic and international flights, and Terminal D in the south complex handles some domestic flights. Terminal F is closed and Terminal E sees little scheduled use.
On an international flight you pass passport control, collect your bags and go through customs before coming out into the public arrivals hall, where pre-booked drivers wait with name signs. Queues at passport control can build up when several long-haul flights land together. Domestic passengers come straight from baggage claim into the arrivals hall.
Sheremetyevo only
This page is for Sheremetyevo (SVO). Domodedovo (DME) and Vnukovo (VKO) are separate Moscow airports and are not covered here, so check the airport code on your ticket before you book.
Visa or e-visa
Most foreign visitors need a Russian visa or Russia's unified e-visa, applied for online through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal (evisa.kdmid.ru). Check the rules for your nationality before you fly.
Rubles
Prices in Russia are in rubles (RUB), so have some local currency for small purchases.
Moscow Time
Moscow is on Moscow Time (UTC+3) all year, with no daylight saving time.
Addresses in Cyrillic
Street signs and many building entrances are marked only in Russian, so give your full address when you book, ideally also as it is written in Cyrillic, with any entrance or intercom code.

How Moscow Airport pickup works
- 1
Clear arrivals
Immigration, baggage claim, then customs. Representatives can't enter those areas.
- 2
Meet your representative
At the meeting point in your confirmation. Check the company name before getting in.
- 3
Go straight there
No other stops, no other passengers.
Meet in the arrivals hall
Pre-booked drivers usually wait in the public arrivals hall of the terminal where the flight lands, holding a name sign.
Check the terminal
Terminals B and C (north complex) and Terminal D (south complex) are several kilometers apart, so give your airline and arrival terminal when you book.
Don't accept a ride from someone claiming to know your booking. Check the company name and reservation details before getting in.
Return trips and flight changes
Going back to the airport
Transportation can also be booked from your hotel, resort or vacation rental to Sheremetyevo International Airport. Your pickup time covers the drive plus check-in, security and border procedures, and your airline's instructions come first. Give the correct departure time and terminal when you book.
If your flight changes
We monitor the arrival of the flight on your reservation, but can't find you on a different one. If any of these change, update them in Manage your booking:

Where will my driver meet me at Sheremetyevo Airport?
In the public arrivals hall of the terminal where your flight lands, holding a sign with your name, after passport control, baggage claim and customs. Give your airline and arrival terminal when you book, as Terminals B and C and Terminal D are in different complexes.
How far is Sheremetyevo Airport from central Moscow?
Sheremetyevo is about 29 km (18 miles) northwest of central Moscow. The drive depends heavily on Moscow traffic and can take much longer at peak hours, so allow extra time for evening arrivals and for departures.
Does this page cover Domodedovo or Vnukovo?
No. This page is for Sheremetyevo (SVO) only. Domodedovo (DME) and Vnukovo (VKO) are separate Moscow airports and are not covered here, so book this page only if your ticket shows SVO.
Which Sheremetyevo terminal will I arrive at?
Most domestic flights use Terminal B and most international flights Terminal C, in the north complex; Pobeda and Smartavia use Terminal D in the south complex. Check your booking and give the terminal when you reserve, so your driver waits in the right arrivals hall.
Can you take me to a hotel near Red Square or Tverskaya Street?
Yes. We drive door to door to hotels and apartments in central Moscow, including the area around the Kremlin, Red Square and Tverskaya Street. Give the hotel name and full address when you book.
Can you take me to the Moscow City business district?
Yes. We drive to offices and hotels in the Moscow City towers and the surrounding business district. Give the building name and the entrance you need when you book, as the towers have several.
Can you take me to a Moscow railway station?
Yes. We drive to Moscow's main railway stations, such as Leningradsky, Kazansky and Yaroslavsky stations. Give the station name and your train time when you book, so the transfer leaves a comfortable margin.
Can you take me from Sheremetyevo to Sergiev Posad?
Sergiev Posad is a long drive northeast of Moscow, beyond the city. Enter the address in the booking form: when a vehicle is available for that route, the price shows before you pay; if it does not, contact us before you fly.
Do you drive to apartments in Moscow?
Yes. Give the full address with the building, entrance (podyezd) number, apartment number and any intercom code when you book, since many Moscow apartment buildings have several entrances off a courtyard.
Is there a train from Sheremetyevo Airport?
Yes. The Aeroexpress train runs from Sheremetyevo to Savyolovsky and Belorussky stations, and buses run to metro stations. A private transfer goes door to door, which is easier with luggage, with children or late at night.
Should I buy transportation from people offering rides inside Sheremetyevo Airport?
There is no need. Booking ahead gives you a confirmed vehicle and a meeting point before you land. If someone approaches you in arrivals, check the company name against your confirmation before getting in.
What happens if my flight to Sheremetyevo is delayed?
We follow the flight on your reservation, so your pickup moves with a delayed landing. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or the flight is canceled, update it in Manage your booking as soon as you can.
Can I book a ride back to Sheremetyevo Airport?
Yes. Book a one-way departure or a round trip from your hotel, apartment or office in Moscow, and give your flight time and departure terminal, so the pickup leaves enough time for Moscow traffic, check-in and security.
Is Airport Transportation the same as Sheremetyevo International Airport?
No. Airport Transportation is a private transfer service that books rides from SVO; we are not the airport or its operator. For terminals, airlines and other ways to get around, see our Sheremetyevo International Airport page.

Can I make stops during my ride?
Yes, you can add an extra stop to your service during the booking process.
Do children pay differently than adults?
No. Prices are set per passenger range or per vehicle, not per age.
Is my reservation refundable?
Yes. Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your pick-up and you are refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before service are not refundable.
Do drivers speak English?
Yes. While their English may not be native-level, drivers have the skills to communicate with passengers.
Are tips mandatory?
Tips are not mandatory but are highly recommended; drivers earn them through service quality.
What currencies are accepted?
All prices are in USD. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the charge at its own exchange rate.
Are pets allowed?
We can transport domestic pets kept in cages that fit in a normal vehicle.
Is there room for luggage?
Yes. There is plenty of room for one suitcase and one carry-on per person.
What is included in the price?
Every private transfer includes a professional, licensed driver; an insured, well-maintained vehicle; real-time flight monitoring; meet-and-greet service at arrivals; and door-to-door service with no hidden fees added after booking. Your fixed price covers the full route to your destination.
