Airport Transportation in Prague
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Václav Havel Airport Prague to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
Airport transportation in Prague takes you from Václav Havel Airport to hotels and apartments in the Old Town, Malá Strana and the castle district, and further out to Kutná Hora, Karlovy Vary and Český Krumlov.
Prague Airport Transfers
Our Prague airport transfers start in the public arrivals hall of the terminal your flight uses: Terminal 1 for flights from outside the Schengen Area and Terminal 2 for Schengen flights. We track your flight, so your driver waits in the right hall.
You get a fixed price per vehicle before you fly, in sizes from sedans for couples and business travelers to vans for families and groups. Every Prague airport transfer goes door to door, whether you are staying at an Old Town hotel, an apartment in Malá Strana, a spa hotel in Karlovy Vary or a guesthouse in Český Krumlov.
Prague Airport Shuttle
Our Prague airport shuttle is a private van for your party only: it leaves as soon as you have your bags and goes straight to your address, with no stops for other passengers. There is room for suitcases and strollers, so it suits families and groups, and longer trips with luggage to Kutná Hora, Karlovy Vary or Český Krumlov.
Landing at Prague Airport
Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) is in the Ruzyně district on the northwestern edge of Prague and is the hub of Smartwings. Passengers use two terminals joined by a connecting building: Terminal 1 for flights outside the Schengen Area and Terminal 2 for Schengen flights.
From outside Schengen you land at Terminal 1 and go through passport control; at Terminal 2 most passengers have no passport check. Collect your bags in the baggage hall of your terminal and walk out into its public arrivals hall.
Prague is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to summer time (UTC+2) from late March to late October.
Schengen entry
The Czech Republic is in the Schengen Area. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Czech koruna
The Czech Republic uses the Czech koruna (CZK), not the euro, so prices and most payments are in koruna.
Terminal by route, not airline
Your terminal depends on where your flight comes from, and Smartwings, Ryanair, easyJet and Wizz Air use both terminals. Give us your flight number so your driver waits in the right arrivals hall.
Offers in the arrivals hall
Turn down drivers who approach you in the arrivals hall and look for your pre-booked driver.
Before you fly to Prague
How Prague Airport pickup works
- 1
Clear arrivals
Immigration, baggage claim, then customs. Representatives can't enter those areas.
- 2
Meet your representative
At the meeting point in your confirmation. Check the company name before getting in.
- 3
Go straight there
No other stops, no other passengers.
Meet in arrivals
Pre-booked drivers meet passengers in the public arrivals hall of the terminal the flight uses: Terminal 1 for non-Schengen flights and Terminal 2 for Schengen flights.
Check your terminal
Give your driver your flight number so they wait at the right terminal. If you end up in the wrong hall, the two terminals are joined by a connecting building.
Don't accept a ride from someone claiming to know your booking. Check the company name and reservation details before getting in.
Return trips and flight changes
Going back to the airport
Transportation can also be booked from your hotel, resort or vacation rental to Václav Havel Airport Prague. Your pickup time covers the drive plus check-in, security and border procedures, and your airline's instructions come first. Give the correct departure time and terminal when you book.
If your flight changes
We monitor the arrival of the flight on your reservation, but can't find you on a different one. If any of these change, update them in Manage your booking:

Where will my driver meet me at Prague Airport?

Which terminal will I arrive at in Prague?
It depends on where your flight comes from, not the airline. Flights from the UK, Ireland, Turkey, the Middle East, Asia and North America arrive at Terminal 1; flights from Schengen countries arrive at Terminal 2.
How far is Prague Airport from the city center?
The airport is in the Ruzyně district, inside Prague's city limits on the northwestern edge of the city, about 18 km from the center. Travel time by road depends on traffic.

Yes. We drive you door to door to hotels and apartments in the Old Town, Malá Strana, the castle district and anywhere else in Prague. Give us the full address when you book.

Yes. Your private transfer goes straight from the airport to your hotel or spa in Karlovy Vary, west of Prague, with no change of bus and no carrying bags between stops.

Can you take me to Kutná Hora?
Yes. We drive from Prague Airport to hotels and addresses in Kutná Hora, east of Prague. Give us the full address when you book.
Is Václav Havel Airport the same as Prague Airport?
Yes. Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) is Prague's main international airport, formerly called Prague Ruzyně International Airport. Travelers also call it Prague Airport or PRG Airport.
Can you pick me up from an apartment in Prague?
Yes. Give the full address, the apartment number and any gate or access instructions when you book, so your driver can find you and you can load your bags without delay.
Should I accept a ride from drivers in the arrivals hall?
No. Turn down drivers who approach you in the arrivals hall. Your pre-booked driver waits for you in the public arrivals hall of your terminal.
What happens if my flight to Prague is delayed?
We track the arrival of the flight on your reservation, so your driver adjusts to a delay. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is canceled, update it in Manage your booking so we can move your pickup.
Can I book a ride back to Prague Airport?
Yes. Book a return from your hotel or apartment in Prague or elsewhere in the country, and give us your flight number so we know whether it leaves from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.
What do I need to enter the Czech Republic?
The Czech Republic is in the Schengen Area, so flights from other Schengen countries arrive without passport control. On a flight from outside Schengen you pass passport control first. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
What time zone and currency does Prague use?
