About Winair

Winair, officially Windward Islands Airways International N.V., is a regional airline based in Sint Maarten. It was founded in 1961 and has its head office at Princess Juliana International Airport. It is not a member of a global alliance, and it partners with Air France–KLM's Flying Blue program.

Its hub is Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) in Sint Maarten. From there it flies short inter-island routes across the northeastern Caribbean, to Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Barthélemy, St. Kitts, Nevis, Antigua, Montserrat and Tortola, and longer routes to Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Barbados, Trinidad, Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire. Winair lists 17 destinations in its network.

The fleet of nine aircraft combines 48-seat ATR 42-500 turboprops with 19-seat de Havilland Canada Twin Otters.

Schedules, aircraft assignments and fare rules can change. Confirm operational details directly with Winair before travel.

Practical information

BaggageCabin bags, checked bags, missing luggage

Winair baggage allowances depend on the fare family and route. Small aircraft have tight weight limits, so check your fare before packing.
