Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), officially General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport, is the main airport for Boston, Massachusetts, and for most of New England. It sits on the harbor in East Boston, with part of the airfield in Winthrop, about 2.5 miles northeast of Back Bay.
JetBlue has an operating base here, and Delta, American, United, Southwest and Alaska fly to cities across the United States. Terminal E handles most international flights, with airlines such as British Airways, Air France, Lufthansa and Emirates; Aer Lingus, Air Canada and TAP Air Portugal use other terminals.
The airport has four terminals, A, B, C and E, linked by free shuttle buses and, on the landside, by moving walkways from the central parking garage. There is no Terminal D.
Most travelers head into downtown Boston, Back Bay, Cambridge and the Seaport, or further out to the North Shore, the South Shore and Cape Cod. The MBTA Silver Line SL1 runs from every terminal to South Station, and Massport's Logan Express buses serve park-and-ride lots in the suburbs.

Arrival tips for Boston Logan International Airport
If you land on an international flight, you arrive at Terminal E, where you clear US immigration and customs before collecting your bags. Domestic flights arrive at the terminal of your airline: Delta at A, JetBlue at C, and American, United, Southwest and Alaska at B.
Baggage claim is on the lower level of each terminal. From there, follow the signs for your ride. Rideshare pickups are in the central parking garage, which you reach by walkway, rather than at the terminal curb. The free Massport shuttle buses stop outside each terminal and run to the other terminals, the Rental Car Center and the Airport station on the MBTA Blue Line.
The Silver Line SL1 stops at every terminal and runs to South Station, where you can change to the Red Line, commuter rail and Amtrak. Logan Express buses leave from the terminals for Back Bay and the suburban park-and-ride lots. Pre-booked cars meet you at the terminal where your flight arrives.
Boston is on Eastern Time. Winters are cold and snowy, so pack for the weather from November to March.
