About Aer Lingus
Aer Lingus is the flag carrier of Ireland, founded in April 1936 and headquartered on the grounds of Dublin Airport in County Dublin. It has been part of International Airlines Group (IAG), alongside British Airways, Iberia and Vueling, since 2015. Aer Lingus is not a member of an airline alliance; it left oneworld in 2007 and works with partners through codeshare and interline agreements.
Its hub is Dublin Airport (DUB), where Aer Lingus operates from Terminal 2 and passengers flying to the United States clear US immigration and customs before departure. It also flies from Cork, Shannon and Knock, with more than 100 routes to the UK, continental Europe and North America, including 24 routes from Ireland to North America in 2026. Regional flights under the Aer Lingus Regional brand are operated by Emerald Airlines.
The fleet of about 62 aircraft is all Airbus: A320-family jets for Europe, and A330s, A321LRs and A321XLRs for transatlantic flights.
Schedules, aircraft assignments, terminals and fare rules can change. Confirm operational details directly with Aer Lingus before travel.

Practical information
BaggageCabin bags, checked bags, missing luggage
Aer Lingus baggage allowances depend on the fare, cabin, route and AerClub status.
Every passenger can bring a small bag that fits under the seat in front. Whether a larger cabin bag is included depends on fare. Size and weight limits are shown in your booking and on aerlingus.com.
Checked bags are included on some fares and not on others, especially on European Saver fares. Transatlantic and Business Class allowances differ from European ones. Allowances depend on fare and route.
Sports equipment, pets, oversized items and medical equipment follow separate rules. Check the official Aer Lingus baggage page before you fly.

Online check-in on aerlingus.com or the Aer Lingus app opens 24 hours before departure for flights to and from the United States and Canada. Download the mobile boarding pass or print it.
Allow time for bag drop, security and, on US-bound flights, US preclearance before boarding.
Lounges
Aer Lingus operates the Aer Lingus Lounge at Dublin Airport Terminal 2. Access depends on cabin, AerClub status and the itinerary. Check the location and opening hours before you travel.
