About Francisco Sarabia International Airport

Francisco Sarabia International Airport, known as Torreón International Airport (TRC), serves Torreón in Coahuila and the whole La Laguna metropolitan area, including Gómez Palacio and Lerdo in Durango. It sits inside the urban area, about 6.5 km east of Torreón's city center.

Mexico City is by far the busiest route, followed by Guadalajara, Dallas/Fort Worth, Tijuana and Cancún. Aeroméxico flies to Mexico City; Viva Aerobus to Cancún, Los Cabos and both Mexico City airports, plus San Antonio in season; Volaris to Guadalajara and Tijuana; American Airlines to Dallas/Fort Worth; and TAR México to Chihuahua, Ciudad Juárez, Mazatlán, Monterrey and Querétaro.

The airport has one passenger terminal, renovated in 2023, with domestic and international check-in, VIP lounges, car rental and taxi stands, and a departure concourse of two gates, one with a jet bridge. A Mexican Air Force station shares the airfield.

Because the airport sits within the city, the drive to hotels in Torreón, Gómez Palacio and Lerdo is short.

Arrival tips for Francisco Sarabia International Airport

Torreón has one passenger terminal, so every flight arrives in the same building.

If you arrive on an international flight, such as American Airlines from Dallas/Fort Worth or Viva Aerobus from San Antonio, you clear immigration first. Have your passport and your flight details ready; visitors from many countries do not need a visa, but check the rules for your passport before you travel. After immigration, collect your bags and pass through customs.

Domestic passengers go straight to baggage claim and then into the arrivals area.

The car rental counters and the taxi stands are at the terminal. The airport is inside the city, about 6.5 km from downtown Torreón, so the ride to most hotels is short. If you booked a transfer, your driver waits for you as you leave the arrivals area.
