Airport Transportation in Munich
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Munich Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
Airport transportation in Munich takes you from Munich Airport to hotels and apartments across the city, to Freising and Erding near the airport, on to Landshut, Regensburg and Nuremberg, and south to Innsbruck and the mountain resorts of the Alps.
Munich Airport Transfers
Our Munich airport transfers start in the public arrivals area of your terminal. At Terminal 2 your driver waits on Level 03 at the single public exit after customs; at Terminal 1, each module from A to E has its own exit, so we track your flight and meet you at the right one with a name sign.
You get a fixed price per vehicle before you fly, in sizes from sedans for business travelers to vans for families and groups. Every Munich airport transfer goes door to door, whether you are heading to a city hotel, an apartment in Munich, a hotel in Freising or Erding, or a chalet in the Alps.
Munich Airport Shuttle
Our Munich airport shuttle is a private van for your party only: it leaves as soon as you are through customs and goes straight to your address, with no stops for other passengers and no change of train in the city. There is room for suitcases as well as ski and snowboard bags, so it suits families, ski groups heading to the Alps and business teams.
Landing at Munich Airport
Munich Airport (MUC), officially Flughafen München "Franz Josef Strauß", lies northeast of Munich near Freising and is Lufthansa's second hub. It has two terminals: Terminal 1, split into modules A to E, serves most airlines outside Star Alliance plus Turkish Airlines, and Terminal 2 serves the Lufthansa Group airlines and their Star Alliance partners. The Munich Airport Center and the S-Bahn station sit between them.
If you arrive from outside the Schengen Area, you pass passport control first; flights from other Schengen countries skip it. You then collect your bags and go through customs into the public arrivals area. Terminal 2 has a single public exit on Level 03, while each Terminal 1 module has its own exit.
Munich is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and moves to UTC+2 from late March to late October.
Entry rules
Germany is in the Schengen Area. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you travel.
Know your terminal and module
Lufthansa Group and Star Alliance airlines use Terminal 2; most other airlines use Terminal 1, where modules A to E each have their own exit. Your flight number tells us where to wait.
Winter weather
Munich winters are cold and snow is possible, so keep warm layers handy for the walk to the car.

How Munich Airport pickup works
- 1
Clear arrivals
Immigration, baggage claim, then customs. Representatives can't enter those areas.
- 2
Meet your representative
At the meeting point in your confirmation. Check the company name before getting in.
- 3
Go straight there
No other stops, no other passengers.
Meet in arrivals
At Terminal 2, drivers wait on Level 03 at the single public exit after customs. At Terminal 1, each module A to E has its own exit, so the driver needs to know your module.
If you can't find your driver
At Terminal 2, check near the information counter or by the doors leading to the Munich Airport Center.
Don't accept a ride from someone claiming to know your booking. Check the company name and reservation details before getting in.
Return trips and flight changes
Going back to the airport
Transportation can also be booked from your hotel, resort or vacation rental to Munich Airport. Your pickup time covers the drive plus check-in, security and border procedures, and your airline's instructions come first. Give the correct departure time and terminal when you book.
If your flight changes
We monitor the arrival of the flight on your reservation, but can't find you on a different one. If any of these change, update them in Manage your booking:
