About Kuwait Airways
Kuwait Airways is the flag carrier of Kuwait. It was established in March 1954 as Kuwait National Airways and is headquartered on the grounds of Kuwait International Airport in Al Farwaniyah Governorate. The airline is not a member of a global alliance and works with partner airlines through codeshare and interline agreements.
Its hub is Kuwait International Airport (KWI), where it operates from its own Terminal 4. From Kuwait City it serves destinations across the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, Asia, Europe and Africa, with extra seasonal routes to Europe and Turkey in summer. For June 2026 the airline scheduled flights to 58 destinations, with a strong focus on India, the Gulf and Egypt.
The fleet of around 32 aircraft combines the Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A330-800 and A330-900 for long-haul and high-demand routes with the Airbus A320neo and A321neo for regional flights.
Schedules, aircraft assignments, terminals and fare rules can change. Confirm operational details directly with Kuwait Airways before travel.
