About Loganair
Loganair is a regional airline based in Scotland, founded in 1962 and headquartered at Glasgow Airport. It is not a member of an airline alliance, but it codeshares with British Airways and offers through-ticketing with partners such as Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Aer Lingus.
Glasgow is its main base, and Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness are its other main hubs. From there it serves around 35 destinations, including island communities in the Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland, and routes linking Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Norway and France. Many island services are lifeline links for local residents.
The fleet of about 35 aircraft is made up of ATR 42 and ATR 72 turboprops, Embraer ERJ 145 regional jets, and DHC-6 Twin Otter and Britten-Norman Islander aircraft for short island runways.
Schedules, aircraft assignments, terminals and fare rules can change. Confirm operational details directly with Loganair before travel.

Practical information
BaggageCabin bags, checked bags, missing luggage
Loganair baggage allowances depend on the fare type and, on some island routes, on the aircraft.
All fares include one cabin bag of up to 6 kg and 40 x 35 x 18 cm, plus a small handbag. On some flights cabin bags are placed in the hold and returned at the aircraft steps.
Fly includes 21 kg in total (15 kg hold plus 6 kg cabin), Fly Flex 23 kg hold and Fly Flex + 30 kg hold. No single bag may weigh more than 25 kg. Flights to Barra, Tiree, Campbeltown and the Orkney inter-isles are limited to 15 kg of hold baggage.
Sports equipment, bicycles, musical instruments and firearms follow separate rules, and limits depend on the aircraft type. Check the official Loganair baggage page before you fly.
