Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) is the main international airport for Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. It handled about 24.3 million passengers in 2025.
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and Norwegian run the largest networks, with flights across Sweden, the Nordic countries and Europe. Two terminals are in use. Terminal 5, the largest, handles domestic, Schengen and non-Schengen flights, and Terminal 2 serves several European airlines and some regional domestic flights. The former Terminal 4 gates, C30 to C44, are now part of Terminal 5.

Arrival tips for Stockholm Arlanda Airport
If your flight comes from outside the Schengen Area, you pass passport control before baggage claim. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Flights from other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks, and you then pass Swedish customs after collecting your bags. Arrivals at gates C30 to C44 exit through Terminal 5.
Arlanda Express leaves from Arlanda North under Terminal 5 and from Arlanda South for Terminal 2, while commuter and long-distance trains use Arlanda Central at SkyCity. Taxis contracted by Swedavia wait directly outside the arrivals hall at Terminal 5 and outside Terminal 2; look for the signs for approved taxis. Do not accept a ride offered inside the terminal, because only drivers with a pre-booked car may enter the arrivals hall to meet passengers. Ask the driver whether the company uses a fixed price before you set off.
Stockholm is on Central European Time with daylight saving in summer, and Sweden uses the Swedish krona (SEK). Winters are cold and dark, so pack warm layers from November to March.
