About Vueling
Vueling is a Spanish low-cost airline founded in 2004 and headquartered in Viladecans, near Barcelona. It is part of International Airlines Group (IAG), the group that also owns British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus and Level. Vueling is not a member of an airline alliance, but its loyalty program, Vueling Club, uses Avios, the same currency as other IAG airlines.
Its main base is Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, where it operates from Terminal 1, and Bilbao is its second-largest base in Spain. The airline also has bases across Spain and at airports such as Paris–Orly, Florence, Amsterdam and London–Gatwick. From there it flies to around 100 destinations in Spain, the rest of Europe and North Africa, with seasonal routes to the Balearic and Canary Islands.
The fleet of about 140 aircraft is all Airbus A320 family today, with the first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft due from late 2026.
Schedules, aircraft assignments, terminals and fare rules can change. Confirm operational details directly with Vueling before travel.

Airbus A320 family
The A319, A320, A320neo, A321 and A321neo fly all current Vueling routes.
Boeing 737 MAX
IAG has assigned 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to Vueling, with the first deliveries expected from late 2026. The new aircraft are due to be fitted with Starlink Wi-Fi.
Vueling cabin classes
Vueling has a single economy cabin. Comfort and flexibility depend on the fare and the seat you choose. Check what your fare includes before you buy.
Fares
Vueling sells Basic, Optima, TimeFlex and Family fares. Basic is the most restricted; the others add seat selection, baggage or flexibility, depending on the fare.
Space One and Space Plus
Seats with extra legroom near the front of the aircraft or in the exit rows, sold as an upgrade.
Space and standard seats
Space seats are closer to the front of the cabin. Standard seats fill the rest of the aircraft; on Basic fares a seat is assigned at check-in unless you choose one.
Practical information
BaggageCabin bags, checked bags, missing luggage
Vueling baggage allowances depend on the fare, the seat type and Vueling Club tier.
Every fare includes one small bag that must fit under the seat in front. A larger cabin bag for the overhead bin depends on fare. Size and weight limits are shown during booking.
Some fares include a checked bag and others do not. Bags can be added when you book or later in Manage My Booking.
Sports equipment, musical instruments, pets and mobility aids follow separate rules. Check the official Vueling baggage page before you fly.
Check-in and boardingSteps before departure
Online check-in on vueling.com or the Vueling app normally opens seven days before departure. Follow the check-in and bag-drop deadlines shown in your booking.
Confirm the airport and terminal for your flight.
Review ID, passport, visa and entry requirements for your destination.
Check in online or in the app as soon as it opens.
Download the mobile boarding pass or print it.
Allow time for bag drop, security and, on flights outside the Schengen Area, passport control.
Lounges
Lounge access is not included in Vueling fares. Some airports sell independent lounge access, and Vueling Club's higher tiers add benefits such as fast-track security. Check the conditions for your trip before you travel.
Loyalty program
Vueling Club is Vueling's loyalty program. Members earn Avios on Vueling flights and with partners, and redeem them for flights and services. Since 2026 the program has four tiers (Basic, Smart, Plus and Premium) based on tier points, with benefits such as priority boarding and more flexible changes at higher levels. Program rules change, so check your account for the conditions that apply to your trip.
