About Asiana Airlines

Asiana Airlines is a South Korean airline founded on 17 February 1988 and headquartered at Asiana Town in Seoul's Gangseo District. Korean Air completed its acquisition of a 63.88% stake on 12 December 2024, and Asiana is scheduled to be merged into Korean Air on 17 December 2026. Asiana is a Star Alliance member until 16 December 2026.

Its international hub is Seoul Incheon International Airport, where it has operated from Terminal 2 since 14 January 2026, and Seoul Gimpo serves its domestic and short-haul regional flights. From Seoul it flies to around 70 airports in Korea, Japan, China, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Europe, the United States and Australia.

The passenger fleet of about 67 aircraft is all Airbus and Boeing: A321ceo and A321neo, A330-300, A350-900, A380 and Boeing 777-200ER.

Schedules, aircraft assignments, terminals and fare rules can change, especially around the Korean Air merger date. Confirm operational details directly with Asiana Airlines or Korean Air before travel.
