About JetSMART
JetSMART is a low-cost airline group headquartered in Santiago, Chile. It began flying in July 2016 with a Santiago–Calama flight and is controlled by Indigo Partners, a US investment firm; American Airlines holds a minority stake. JetSMART is not a member of an airline alliance, but it works with American Airlines on codeshare flights and AAdvantage miles. Besides the Chilean airline, the group has domestic airlines in Argentina, Peru and Colombia.
Its main bases are Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez (SCL), Buenos Aires Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP), Lima Jorge Chávez (LIM), and Bogotá (BOG) and Medellín (MDE) in Colombia. From them it flies more than 90 routes to more than 50 destinations in nine countries: Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic, where it serves Punta Cana.
The fleet of about 56 aircraft is all Airbus A320 family, mainly A320neo and A321neo jets.
Schedules, aircraft assignments, terminals and fare rules can change. Confirm operational details directly with JetSMART before travel.

Practical information
BaggageCabin bags, checked bags, missing luggage
JetSMART baggage allowances depend on the fare, route and the extras you add. Allowances are shown during booking.
Every fare includes one personal item that fits under the seat. A larger cabin bag depends on fare and is added as an extra. Check the size and weight limits on the official site before you fly.
Checked bags depend on fare and are added as an extra, either at booking or later.
Sports equipment, pets, oversized items and medical equipment follow separate rules. Check the official JetSMART website before you fly.
Check-in and boardingSteps before departure
Check in online on jetsmart.com or in the JetSMART app before you go to the airport. Follow the check-in and bag-drop deadlines shown in your booking, which are longer for international flights.
Confirm the airport and terminal, especially in Buenos Aires, where JetSMART uses both Aeroparque and Ezeiza.
Review passport, ID, visa and entry requirements for your destination and any connection point.
Check in online or in the app as soon as it opens.
Download the mobile boarding pass or print it.
Allow time for bag drop, security and, on international flights, immigration.
Lounges
As a low-cost airline, JetSMART does not operate lounges or include lounge access in its fares. Some airports offer lounges that travelers can use under their own conditions; check the airport's information before you travel.
Loyalty program
JetSMART does not have its own frequent-flyer program. It is a partner of American Airlines AAdvantage: members can earn AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points on JetSMART flights and redeem miles on JetSMART. JetSMART also sells the Club de Descuentos, a paid annual membership with fare discounts. Program rules change, so check the conditions that apply to your trip.
