Split Saint Jerome Airport (SPU) is the airport for Split, Croatia. It sits in Kaštela, on the west side of Kaštela Bay, and is also known simply as Split Airport.
Croatia Airlines links Split with Zagreb and cities across Europe, and Trade Air flies to Dubrovnik, Pula and Rijeka. Most other traffic is seasonal: easyJet, Jet2.com, Ryanair, Wizz Air, Eurowings, Norwegian, Volotea and Vueling fly in from across Europe, network airlines connect to their hubs, and United Airlines flies to Newark in summer.
The airport has one terminal building. An expansion completed in 2019 added new check-in, arrivals and baggage areas, and the refurbished original building handles some international departures. An enclosed bridge over the D409 road leads to the bus terminal, car parks and car rental.
The airport is about 20 km (12 miles) west of Split and about 6 km (4 miles) from Trogir. From here, travelers head to Split's Old Town and ferry port, Trogir, the Makarska Riviera and the islands of Hvar and Brač.

Croatia is in the Schengen area, so passengers from outside it, such as flights from the UK, Serbia, Turkey or the US, go through passport control on arrival. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation.
Baggage claim is in the 2019 extension of the terminal, and the arrivals hall opens straight onto the forecourt. Taxis wait outside the terminal, and the Pleso airport shuttle to Split's main bus station leaves after incoming flights. City buses, car parks and car rental are across the D409 road, reached by an enclosed footbridge. Unofficial drivers sometimes approach arriving passengers; use the taxi rank or an app, and agree the fare before you set off.
Split has hot, dry summers and mild winters. Croatia runs on Central European Time with daylight saving time in summer, and the currency is the euro.
