About IndiGo
IndiGo is the brand of InterGlobe Aviation Limited, an Indian low-cost airline that began flying in August 2006. It is headquartered in Gurugram, near Delhi, and is not a member of a global alliance; instead it works with partner airlines through codeshare agreements.
Its main hubs are Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, with further bases in Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata. From there it serves around 140 destinations: close to 100 cities across India and more than 40 international points in the Gulf, Southeast Asia, Europe, East Africa and the Indian Ocean. It operates more than 2,000 flights a day.
The fleet of more than 430 aircraft is built around the Airbus A320neo family, including the long-range A321XLR, with ATR 72-600 turboprops on regional routes.
Schedules, aircraft assignments, terminals and fare rules can change. Confirm operational details directly with IndiGo before travel.

Practical information
BaggageCabin bags, checked bags, missing luggage
IndiGo baggage allowances depend on the route, fare and cabin. The allowance printed in your booking is the one that applies.
One cabin bag up to 7 kg and 115 cm (length + width + height), plus one personal item such as a laptop bag or small purse up to 3 kg. IndiGoStretch passengers have a larger cabin allowance.
Domestic economy fares normally include 15 kg. International allowances vary by destination, commonly 20 kg to 30 kg. A single checked piece may not exceed 23 kg or 158 cm.
Sports equipment, musical instruments, pets and oversized items follow separate rules. One stroller per infant is carried free. Check the official IndiGo baggage page before you fly.
Check-in and boardingSteps before departure
Web check-in on goindigo.in or the IndiGo app opens 48 hours before domestic flights and 24 hours before international flights. It closes 60 minutes before domestic and 75 minutes before international departures, which is also when airport counters close.
Confirm the operating airline, airport and terminal, especially in Delhi and Mumbai.
Review passport, visa and entry requirements for your destination.
Check in online or in the app as soon as it opens.
Download the mobile boarding pass or print it.
Allow time for bag drop, security and, on international flights, immigration.
Lounges
IndiGo does not include lounge access in standard fares, and IndiGoStretch seats do not include it either. Some premium IndiGoStretch options include lounge access on selected international routes; check what your fare includes before you travel.
Loyalty program
IndiGo BluChip is IndiGo's loyalty program. Members earn BluChips on IndiGo flights and redeem them for IndiGo flights. Program rules change, so check your account for the conditions that apply to your trip.
