About Pegasus Airlines
Pegasus Airlines is a Turkish low-cost airline headquartered in the Kurtköy area of Pendik, Istanbul. It began flying in 1990 as a charter airline and switched to a low-cost model in 2005, when Esas Holding bought it. The company is listed on Borsa Istanbul, with Esas Holding as its majority shareholder. Pegasus is not a member of an airline alliance.
Its main base is Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) on the Asian side of Istanbul, with further bases in Ankara, Izmir, Antalya and other Turkish cities. It serves about 160 destinations in 56 countries: 39 domestic and 121 international destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, the Caucasus and Central Asia. In October 2026 it completed the purchase of Czech Airlines and Smartwings, which keep flying under their own brand.
The Pegasus fleet of about 131 aircraft is made up mainly of Airbus A320neo and A321neo jets, with some Airbus A320ceo and Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Schedules, aircraft assignments, terminals and fare rules can change. Confirm operational details directly with Pegasus Airlines before travel.

Practical information
BaggageCabin bags, checked bags, missing luggage
Pegasus baggage allowances depend on the fare package and route. Domestic flights within Turkey follow separate rules from international and Northern Cyprus flights.
On international and Northern Cyprus flights, every fare includes one under-seat bag up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm and 3 kg. A cabin bag up to 55 x 40 x 23 cm and 8 kg is included in higher packages or can be added. On domestic flights, one cabin bag up to 55 x 40 x 23 cm is allowed.
On international flights, the Saver, Saver Plus and Comfort Flex packages include 20 kg of checked baggage. Light fares include no checked bag, which can be added. Allowances depend on fare.
Sports equipment, pets, oversized items and medical equipment follow separate rules. Check the official Pegasus baggage page before you fly.
Check-in and boardingSteps before departure
Pegasus online check-in on flypgs.com or the Pegasus app opens 7 days before departure and closes 60 minutes before the flight; some airports differ. Airport counters close 60 minutes before international and Northern Cyprus flights.
Confirm the airport and terminal, especially in Istanbul, where Pegasus uses Sabiha Gökçen.
Review passport, visa and entry requirements for your destination and any transit point.
Check in online or in the app as soon as it opens.
Download the mobile boarding pass or print it.
Allow time for bag drop, security and, on international flights, passport control.
Lounges
As a low-cost airline, Pegasus does not include lounge access in standard fares. Some airports offer lounges that travelers can use under their own conditions; check the airport's information before you travel.
Loyalty program
Pegasus BolBol is Pegasus Airlines' loyalty program. Members earn BolPoints on Pegasus flights, with Pegasus BolBol cards and at partner businesses, and spend them on flights, seats, extra baggage and meals.
