Practical information
BaggageCabin bags, checked bags, missing luggage
Thai AirAsia baggage allowances depend on the fare, any bundle you buy and the route. Check your booking for what is included.
Every fare includes a cabin baggage allowance. Size and weight limits are shown during booking and depend on fare; bags that exceed them must be checked in.
Checked baggage is not included in basic fares. It can be added during booking, in a fare bundle or later in Manage Booking.
Sports equipment, musical instruments, medical equipment and other special items follow separate rules. Check airasia.com before you fly.
Check-in and boardingSteps before departure
Online check-in is available on airasia.com and in the AirAsia app. Opening and closing times depend on the route and are shown in your booking; counters and bag drop close earlier for international flights.
Confirm the operating airline, the Bangkok airport (Don Mueang or Suvarnabhumi) and the terminal.
Review passport, visa and entry requirements for your destination.
Check in online or in the app as soon as it opens.
Download the mobile boarding pass or print it.
Allow time for bag drop, security and, on international flights, immigration.
Lounges
Lounge access is not part of standard Thai AirAsia fares. Travelers can use independent lounges at Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi and other airports where access is sold separately or offered through cards and memberships. Check the location and opening hours before you travel.
Loyalty program
airasia rewards is the AirAsia group's loyalty program, formerly known as BIG. Members earn airasia points on AirAsia flights and with partner businesses, and can use them toward flights and other travel services.
