About Hainan Airlines

Hainan Airlines is a Chinese airline headquartered in Haikou, on Hainan Island. It was founded in 1989 as Hainan Province Airlines, and the listed company, Hainan Airlines Holding Co., Ltd., is part of Liaoning Fangda Group. It is not a member of any of the three global alliances and works with partner airlines through codeshare agreements.

Haikou Meilan is its home base, and its main hubs are Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (SZX), with further bases in Chongqing, Xi'an and other Chinese cities. The network covers nearly 80 cities in China plus around 130 international and regional routes in more than 30 countries and regions, including Europe, North America, Mexico, Oceania and Southeast Asia.

The fleet of about 230 aircraft combines Boeing 737s and Airbus A320neo-family jets for short-haul flights with Boeing 787s and Airbus A330s on long-haul routes.

Schedules, aircraft assignments, terminals and fare rules can change. Confirm operational details directly with Hainan Airlines before travel.
