About airBaltic
airBaltic is the flag carrier of Latvia, founded on 28 August 1995 and headquartered at Riga International Airport in Mārupe, Latvia. The Republic of Latvia owns most of the company, and Lufthansa Group holds a 10% stake. airBaltic is not a member of an airline alliance and works with partner airlines through codeshare agreements.
Its main hub is Riga International Airport, where flights from the Baltic states, the Nordic countries, Western Europe and the Mediterranean connect. airBaltic also has bases in Tallinn, Estonia, and Vilnius, Lithuania, with nonstop flights to European capitals and leisure airports. The network covers about 80 destinations, with seasonal summer routes to Southern Europe and winter routes to the Canary Islands, Madeira and Alpine ski airports.
The fleet is made up entirely of Airbus A220-300 jets, about 54 aircraft in summer 2026.
