About Gulf Air
Gulf Air is the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, operated by Gulf Air B.S.C. (c) and headquartered in Muharraq. It traces its history to the Gulf Aviation Company, founded on 24 March 1950, and is part of Gulf Air Group Holding. Gulf Air is not a member of an airline alliance and works with partner airlines through codeshare agreements.
Its hub is Bahrain International Airport, the base for its whole network. From Bahrain it serves around 60 destinations in the Gulf and the wider Middle East, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Southeast and East Asia, Africa, Europe and New York, and many itineraries connect through Bahrain.
The fleet of about 47 aircraft combines Airbus A320 and A321 family jets, including A321neo long-range aircraft, with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners for long-haul routes.
Schedules, aircraft assignments, terminals and fare rules can change. Confirm operational details directly with Gulf Air before travel.
