About Brussels Airlines

Brussels Airlines is the flag carrier of Belgium. It was formed in November 2006 from the merger of SN Brussels Airlines and Virgin Express, began flying under the Brussels Airlines name in March 2007, and has its head office at Brussels Airport. It has been wholly owned by the Lufthansa Group since 2017 and a member of Star Alliance since 2009.

Its hub is Brussels Airport (BRU), from which it serves about 93 destinations. The network links Belgium with cities and leisure destinations across Europe, including Spain, Portugal, the Canary Islands, Italy, Greece and Croatia, and with 18 destinations in sub-Saharan Africa, where it is the Lufthansa Group airline for the region. It also flies long-haul to New York JFK.

The fleet of about 48 aircraft combines 11 Airbus A330-300 widebodies with Airbus A319, A320 and A320neo aircraft.

Schedules, aircraft assignments, terminals and fare rules can change. Confirm operational details directly with Brussels Airlines before travel.
